Add Two More Tire Positions to Your RoadTech Setup

roadtech cap tpms

When your current RoadTech TPMS setup doesn't cover every tire you want to watch, this two-sensor set gives you a direct way to expand it. The cap sensors pair wirelessly with a compatible RoadTech TPMS monitor (sold separately), adding pressure and temperature monitoring without replacing the setup you already have. Once they're paired and assigned, those added tire positions show up with the rest of your monitored setup during travel.

Pressure and Temperature Alerts While You're Rolling

A tire problem on a long pull can start with a slow leak, a rapid air loss, or heat building before anything feels wrong from the driver's seat. These sensors monitor tire pressure and temperature in real time and send alerts for over and under PSI, high temperatures, and air leaks through the TPMS system. Instead of relying only on a stop-and-check routine, your monitor can call out a tire that needs attention while the trip is still underway.

Broad Pressure Range for Higher-PSI Setups

Some tire setups run well above passenger-car pressures, and a sensor with too narrow of a range can take it out of consideration right away. These sensors monitor from 1 - 218 PSI (1 - 15 bar), giving your TPMS system room to track anything within that confirmed range. You can set up the added sensors around the pressures your tires actually use and keep those readings visible from the monitor.

Video Transcript for Review of RoadTech Cap Tire Sensors TPMS - RT46ZR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these cap tire sensors for your RoadTech TPMS system. Now, if you already have a compatible RoadTech TPMS tire pressure monitoring system and you want to monitor additional tires, this kit is going to make that easy. This includes two cap style sensors, as you can see here, and these can be added to an existing system, allowing them to expand their tire coverage without replacing your setup. So once these are installed, the sensors are gonna continuously monitor both tire pressure and temperature in real time.

So if your tire develops a pressure problem or begins running hotter than normal, your system's going to alert you so potential issues can be addressed before they become more serious. These sensors are designed to work with a wide range of tire applications supporting pressures from one all the way up to 218 PSI. So they're gonna be suitable for everything from your standard trailer tires to higher pressure RV, truck, or specialty tire setups. The cap style design keeps these sensors compact and unobtrusive on your valve stem. And then as you can see here, this does include anti-fat hardware.

It's gonna help prevent them from being easily removed while you're traveling or while you're parked and your trailer is unattended. Maintenance is gonna be straightforward as well. When it's time to replace the sensor batteries, the sensor's gonna retain their paired settings, so you're not gonna have to go through the setup process all over again. And road tech reports that the battery life typically ranges from anywhere from a year to 18 months, depending on how often they're being used. We do have flow through caps available as well, flow through sensors available as well rather than the cap one.

So if that's something you would prefer over these, you can find 'em here at etrailer along with the whole system as well. That's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, they call me Andy. Thank you for joining me.
