Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today, we're gonna take a look at the Climate Sojourn Stretch sleeping bag. Sojourn Stretch is a nylon material, it has a synthetic insulation to it and with that it can achieve, you know, ratings for temperatures down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit, making it a three season sleeping bag. So while it won't be good for those kind of freeze out camping trips that you might be going to, it is gonna be lightweight and durable and comfortable enough for all those other three seasons year round. This is what they call a mummy style sleeping bag, meaning it's going to zip all the way up here around your collar. It's gonna have kind of a hood going around it as well. And this is gonna be really handy keeping any kind of drafts or anything like that from moving through the sleeping bag and disrupting your sleep.
The zipper is gonna be double sided, so it can be zipped from the inside or the outside. It's got this big plastic head to it, and it really doesn't snag very easily, but when you do happen to catch something like a piece of fabric on the inside when you're zipping it, this oversized plastic head is really, really easy to get it unsnagged. And we have an additional zipper down here that'll zip from the feet upward. And the purpose of this is to open up the sleeping bag down by your feet and get some circulation on those nights when maybe the sleeping bag is just a little bit too warm for the temperatures outside. Down here at the feet, it tapers off pretty aggressively.
We do have a good amount of stretch in here, but this also helps keep it kind of more compact for you for when you're traveling with it. It's also height adjustable. There is a toggle and loop system down here and you've got these adjustments that you can make that are around six or seven inches apart. But all you would need to do is fold it up to the height that you need and put the toggle through the loop here. And once you do that on each side, you'll have a good height adjustment, and it just makes it so that you're not slipping around too much in the bag and the bag isn't gonna be shifting on you really as well.
And when it's time to roll it up and break camp, you're gonna get this nice compression sack that comes with it. It's gonna have a draw string at the top to keep it tight, but what I really like about it too is the sort of cap that they put around it. There is a strap with a buckle system here, and what that allows you to do is really kind of once you get it rolled up, just get it kind of packed up tight. We all know, if we've used sleeping bags before, that rolling them up perfectly at the end of a trip doesn't always work out the way we want to, but with that drawstring top and this cap with the adjustable strap, it could be easy to pack everything up and head home. We took the large version of the bag, we've got that underneath with the regular version on top so you could see a little bit of the size difference.
We do have a little bit of a length difference, although it's not very significant. The biggest difference comes in the shoulder width, so it's actually a little bit wider. Both of them have the same features, including the same height adjustments, so you can adjust for that. The width and shoulder width is where it's gonna come in really handy. Now the regular version is about 30 inches across with the large version being about 40 inches across. With the regular version, that's measured for shoulder girth up to 58 inches. Now what we mean by shoulder girth is if you were to measure around the widest part of your shoulders. And then the large bag can accommodate a shoulder girth up to 78 inches. So that's a look at the Climate Sojourn Stretch sleeping bag. And if after watching this video you've got questions or you've decided that this is the sleeping bag for you and you get it and you get to use it, please drop what you think about it in the comments below. We would love to share your experience and your questions with other neighbors just like you so that they can make the best decision for themselves. Once again, this is Curt with etrailer.
