When a snowplow, winch, or other heavy gear pushes your front end down, steering and braking can feel off. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 2,800 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep the front of your vehicle level and steady. They help your factory suspension carry the extra load so your ride height stays even and your handling feels sure and controlled.

Every bump and dip doesn’t have to shake your teeth. The microcellular urethane springs compress easily on light loads for a soft, comfortable ride, then firm up as weight increases to keep things stable. Acting like built-in bump stops, they cushion impacts and dampen road vibration for a smoother drive whether the load is light or heavy.
When you turn sharply or run with an uneven load, each spring works separately to keep its side planted. This independent action cuts down on body roll and sway so the vehicle feels balanced through corners, crosswinds, or uneven roads.
Made from high-density microcellular urethane, these springs stand up to oil, road salt, and UV exposure while performing in temperatures from -25°F to 200°F. They compress vertically with minimal side expansion, so nearby parts stay safe in tight spaces. With no air lines or pressure adjustments to worry about, they deliver solid support with zero maintenance for the long haul.
Installing suspension support shouldn’t need a full shop setup. These custom-fit helper springs mount directly in place with no drilling required—just solid hardware and smart design that’s ready to bolt up and get you back on the road.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Sumo Springs solo custom helper springs for the front axle. This product fits certain years of the Dodge Ram and Ram 4500 and 5500 trucks. To ensure, double check that this is a fit for your vehicle, you can use the vehicle fit guide, which is located at eTrailer.com.Now helper springs are designed to upgrade your vehicles front suspension for improved driver control and comfort. They simply replace your factory springs. With these installed you'll notice better support for front and heavy loads. They do a better job at supporting those heavy front end loads, which is going to help keep your vehicle level.
These also help to better absorb bumps and road shocks. You'll also notice that they help reduce, or minimize, sway. They do feature progressive load control so these springs will actually compressor according to the weight of your cargo. For lighter loads, the springs compress easily at first, for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. Then for heavier load, the springs compress for as much as 80% for support. Now, they are a nice stiff design.
When I try to compress them, you can't really see much. That's because these are designed for heavy loads. They're really nice, durable, micro cellular designs. The urethane is a high density. It's very durable, it works in temperatures from negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
They're designed to resist damages typically caused by oils, road salts, and UV rays. Now these springs do work independently from each other to compensate for off center loads. That's really going to help reduce body roll when you're going around a turn, or cornering, or maybe sudden maneuver or a sharp turn. They also feature minimal lateral expansion. These springs will compress vertically instead of off to the side, so they aren't easily damaged when operating in tighter spaces. My favorite feature about these springs is that they're completely maintenance free.
There's no tubing to run, or air pressure to monitor, like with air springs. It's a simple no drill installation. They simply push into the retaining cup on your vehicle, where your factory springs we're installed. They do include nice installation instructions, so you can see there, right here points out your new spring compared to the OEM, or factory one. Shows how it installs it. On the back, you have kind of a line by line breakdown of the installation process. This product is made in the USA. When it comes to the weight capacity at 50% compression, we're looking at 2,800 pounds. It's important to keep in mind that Sumo springs do not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. That's going to do it for today's look at the Sumo Springs custom helper springs for the front axle.

It was a great investment. It truly helped with the front end bouncing. I look forward to adding a set to the rear.
