Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today I'm at NATM, and this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them, so let's take a look at their products a little bit up close and ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Brandon from DeeMaxx, and DeeMaxx offers a whole line of brake products, and we're gonna break these down. So what is DeeMaxx as a company DeeMaxx, we are a light to medium duty trailer disc brake manufacturer. We kind of have the whole assembly of the process now, from the brake lines and fittings up to our actual brake parts themselves, like you see this rotor hub here, and the calipers, all the way down to the actuators as well. And when you're upgrading to a disc brake conversion from DeeMaxx, you know you're gonna have all new wheel studs, and going along with that, it's a good chance to get some new lug nuts.
Yeah, you can use your old ones. There's people that will. There's people that wanna save the money and do that, and that's okay. But there's people that say, "Hey, I just spent this money on a new braking system. I'm gonna upgrade everything.
I don't want the old. I've spent the money, I want the new." And so we're like, you know, to really cover from the front end of the installation to when the neighbor's done with the installation, we wanted to kind of be there through that whole part of the process. So being, getting in on the lug nuts has been something we've been able to do with that. We've got a half-inch, nine-sixteenths and five-eights as far as sizing. And then you see here different coatings.
So we offer open and close, we've got our samples here. This is the open zinc, this is our closed chrome, and then this is the closed stainless. So we've got, like I said, three sizes in those, and then the different coatings, and then open, closed, and then another sample we don't have here, but that we do have, we offer a half-inch and an XL version. And the guys that do prefer the longer lug nut style, we do offer that in a half-inch. And as far as, you know, longevity of, you know, not breaking down rust, corrosion, obviously stainless, I'm not gonna say rust proof, but it's gonna hold up really well.
That's the, again, the guys that are in the marine markets, guys that are in those harsh winter areas where roads are being treated. The more stainless you can have, the better. It is priced, but longevity of your trailer, of your product, man, you're spending the money, you might as well do it right. If you're an over-the-road guy and the roads in your area aren't being treated, and there's not salt water for a long ways. Yep. You're gonna be okay with the max coating, the zinc coating. You're not gonna see that salt just eating away at stuff as other guys do. So the stainless is really the way to go for those guys in those areas. That makes sense.
Jon G. helped me find solid SS replacements for my chrome-capped stock lugs. What a difference having solid SS vs the capped ones. etrailer service is excellent and prices are fair. My only complaint is not getting a discount for volume. I had to purchase 20 individual lugs at full price.
