Demanding trailer, camper, or payload weight can leave your truck squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 7,500 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.

Highlights

  • Custom Fit for Your Truck: Vehicle-specific brackets and hardware position the air springs for your truck's rear suspension.
  • Level Demanding Rear Loads: Up to 7,500 lbs of supplemental support helps reduce rear sag with substantial trailer, camper, or payload weight.
  • Match Support to the Load: Adjust air pressure to suit changing towing and hauling loads instead of running one fixed level of support.
  • Run at 0 psi Unloaded: Internal jounce bumpers let you bleed the air springs down to 0 psi once the extra load comes off.
  • Built for Life Under Your Truck: Stainless steel hardware and braided air lines add corrosion resistance where the system faces road spray and weather.
  • Upgrade Your Air Control: Add a compatible onboard compressor or control system for more convenient pressure changes.

Features to know about

More Support for Demanding Rear Loads

Your truck can feel composed empty, then change quickly once substantial pin weight, a slide-in camper, or a heavy work payload settles onto the rear suspension. The two adjustable rear air springs provide up to 7,500 lbs of load-leveling support to help bring a sagging rear back toward normal ride height while reducing sway and bottoming under load. Instead of treating that capacity as a target, you can tune the air pressure to the weight your truck is actually carrying.

Heavy-Duty Support That Backs Off When You Do

A truck built for serious towing or hauling may still spend plenty of miles without that weight on the rear suspension. Internal jounce bumpers let you increase air pressure when a substantial load calls for more support, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi when the extra weight comes off. Those internal jounces protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up, so you don't have to maintain air pressure simply to protect the bags during unloaded driving. The result is adjustable support that can work around both sides of your truck's job instead of treating every mile like a loaded one.

Corrosion Resistance Where Exposure Hits Hardest

Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your truck. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working truck.

Custom Installation

You'll start by measuring your truck's stock ride height and checking tire-to-frame clearance before raising the rear, removing the wheels, and taking out the factory jounce bumpers. The air spring assemblies mount between the frame and axle using the existing jounce-bumper mounting locations up top and axle straps below, with careful alignment and brake-line clearance checked before everything is torqued down. Once the springs are secured, you'll install the passenger-side exhaust heat shield, then route the braided stainless steel air lines away from brake lines, fuel lines, wiring, and other potential trouble spots, leaving enough slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.

Upgrade Your Air Control

The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old when your truck regularly switches between demanding loads and unloaded driving. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit with XD Compressor (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Video Transcript for Review of Pacbrake Vehicle Suspension - Air Bag Kit Stainless Steel Hardware and Lines - PB93SV

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're talking airbag kits, specifically the Pacbrake Alpha XD Pro. Folks this is an upgraded airbag suspension kit rated at 7,500 pounds of capacity with internal jounces and they're gonna go on the rear of your RAM pickup truck. So make sure you're checking the year, make, and model on the fit guide here on etrailer, be sure to get the right ones for your specific truck. And everything here uses a upgraded stainless steel hardware, steel, braided lines, et cetera. So it really is kind of the top of the line as far as the good, better, best I'd rate this as a best option.

Lemme step outta the way so you can see these bad boys a little bit better. So again, nice airbags inside of this. I know you can't see it. There's an internal jounce, it's a rubber jounce that's gonna give it more stability and cushion, especially whenever you're running maybe lower air capacities. Those kind of things.

And keep in mind these are just kind of loosely put together on the table just for your viewing pleasure. Obviously these kind of stuff would go underneath these plates whenever it's over the axle and that's how they would kind of mount together and whatnot. So make sure you're double checking the instructions to be sure you're getting them in the right orientation, et cetera. And of course, again, the stainless steel braided airlines, these have threaded ends that match up here and then also near the rear of the truck so you can get your air right to the bags themselves. And there's more hardware that I don't have on the tabletop as well that's included, again, just because of space constraints.

So obviously your shrader valves and those kind of things where you're gonna be inflating the air to go through the line to then go into the bag. So again, keep in mind this is just a quick look. Now the alpha XD pro stainless steel, again, you don't have to worry about rust corrosion with all those upgraded parts and you probably already know, but airbags are basically gonna reduce sag in the back. They're gonna get you back to level. If you're squatting in the rear, they're gonna get you back level and that's gonna keep body roll, rear end sag, bottoming out potentials, those kind of things from happening because it's gonna keep you back up to your OE height.

Now these can also operate at zero PSI and maintain a factory ride height and ride quality. And these do support adjustable air pressure, meaning if you have side to side you want to inflate or deflate, depending on your load, you can do that as well, which is a nice feature. So again, folks, these are the Pacbrake Alpha XD pro airbag suspension kit, again, internal jounce and they have the upgraded stainless steel parts and airlines. Reach out to us if you have any further questions about this product or anything else and thanks for watching and have a great day.
