Heavy trailer or cargo loads can leave your van squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.

Highlights

  • Custom Fit for Your Van: Vehicle-specific brackets and hardware position the air springs for your van's rear suspension.
  • Level Heavy Rear Loads: Up to 5,000 lbs of supplemental support helps reduce rear sag with substantial trailer or cargo weight.
  • Match Support to the Load: Adjust air pressure to suit changing towing and hauling loads instead of running one fixed level of support.
  • Run at 0 psi Unloaded: Internal jounce bumpers let you bleed the air springs down to 0 psi once the extra load comes off.
  • Built for Life Under Your Van: Stainless steel hardware and braided air lines add corrosion resistance where the system faces road spray and weather.
  • Upgrade Your Air Control: Add a compatible onboard compressor or control system for more convenient pressure changes.

Features to know about

Level the Rear Under Heavy Loads

When trailer weight or a heavy cargo load settles your van onto its rear suspension, squat and extra body movement can make the van feel less controlled. The two adjustable rear air springs add supplemental support to help reduce sag, sway, and bottoming while letting you tune the suspension to the weight you're carrying. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you can add only the pressure the load calls for instead of treating maximum pressure as the default. Your van can sit closer to level and remain more controlled while carrying or towing substantial weight.

Add Support, Then Drop to 0 psi

A van that tows one day and runs empty the next doesn't need the same rear-suspension support all the time. Internal jounce bumpers let you add air when your trailer or cargo is aboard, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi once that load comes off. Those internal jounces also protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up. You get the support your van needs under weight without having to keep air in the bags simply to protect them when you're driving empty.

Corrosion Resistance Where Exposure Hits Hardest

Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your van. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working van.

Custom Installation

You'll start by measuring your van's stock ride height and checking tire-to-frame clearance before removing the factory jounce bumpers and axle strike blocks, with rear-wheel removal optional if you want more working room. The air spring assemblies mount between the frame and axle using clamp-style hardware in the existing jounce locations and additional upper support brackets, with some wiring temporarily moved if needed for clearance. Once the springs are positioned, aligned, and secured around the axle, you'll install the included exhaust heat shielding, then route the braided stainless steel air lines with enough clearance and slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.

Upgrade Your Air Control

The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old if your towing or hauling setup changes frequently. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Pacbrake Alpha HD Pro Airbag Suspension Kit with included internal jounces and stainless steel upgraded hardware, rated at 5,000 pounds load level capacity. Now, folks, these are custom-fit applications, so make sure you're double checking the fit guide over at etrailer.com. Enter things like year, make, and model. Be sure you get the right parts the first time for your specific installation.

Now, airbags, as you know, are gonna be helper springs. And what they're gonna do is they're gonna help get you back up to that standard ride height. And I mentioned that internal jounce. Here's a picture of a cutaway of just a sample bag. You can see that yellow integrated polyurethane jounce and that's gonna do great at helping you have capacity and stuff, support, whenever you're running at zero PSI when you're unloaded.

And that's the cool thing about these is you can run these unloaded. And then, a exploded view of all the parts you're gonna get. Keep in mind, we've been finding a lot of these kits from the manufacturer with the stainless steel option. They give you both hardware, for some reason. Just keep that in mind and make sure you're using the stainless steel one.

You can easily see the color difference. If you're not sure, you can always reach out to us as well and we can assist you with that. And that being said as well, if you don't wanna do the installation yourself, no problem. We are affiliated with lots of shops and dealers around the nation. And you can simply go to our dealer locator tool at etrailer.com, give us your zip code in that form, and then we can find someone in your area.

So again, folks, you got the internal jounce, you got the air ride suspension. The only thing you might need or want that's not included in this kit is onboard air and compressor system, and we sell those separately. You got wireless remote ones and manual ones like this kit, as far as manually inflating. Now, the brackets here and everything are nice, powder-coated. So that, in conjunction with the stainless steel plates and the stainless steel hardware, is gonna make these a great addition to your setup. And again, on this particular fit, it looks like it's sprinters, chassis, and stuff. So again, a great option for you. Most of this stuff is just kind of loosely put together, just so I can kind of show you these on the table. You can kind of see when they're not in place, they're gonna rock, obviously. But when they're bolted in place, all they're gonna do is go up and down as you're driving and they're gonna, again, support that load. They're gonna get you from squatting, back up to level, pressure back evenly distributed over that front axle. You're gonna get rid of jarring around corners, bumps, you're not gonna feel 'em as bad, and those kind of things. It's gonna reduce body roll. It's just gonna give you a much, much smoother ride quality. And these are great for people that maybe do construction, maybe you're hauling a toy hauler, campers, whatever it is, race cars, these are great options for you. In my opinion, the stainless steel upgrades, probably the top, top tier that we carry because, once you install it, you should never have to mess with it. I mean, just their warranty alone, you're good to go for life. And then, again, you got the stainless steel hardware and all that, so a great combination. Again, folks, I'm Steve with etrailer. As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions. "Hey, do I need this kit What do I need to do" "Okay, well what are you hauling" We can ask some questions and then we can find out exactly what's gonna fit your specific situation and your specific needs. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. Have a great day.

Did not fit my truck 2026 Silverado 1500 4x4, website said it would fit, it does not fit, as axle plate is Square on my truck, this kit have round axle plate that interferes with spring shackle bolts, would not fit or even be centered. SO I am returning them, this needs to be corrected on your website, it does not fit the 2026 Silverado 1500 2x2 or 4x4!

It was easy to order and the stuff I ordered is just what I was looking for. The people who helped me was great

by:

Great set up. Easy to install. Much better than the Timbren bump stops.

by:

I have no problems with the quality or the install. My one problem is the instructions, when you order the stainless steel kit, it comes with a separate box to replace the hardware. That's totally fine, but it would be nice if they could work that in the instructions for when to install the stainless steel airlines because you can install them at the same time that you can the push in plastic lines. Besides that, these are an insane set of airbags. When I ride at zero psi cuz I got the ones with the internal jounce bumpers, I did not expect this but it smooths out my ride. That's a super huge plus.

by:

The only reason I bought this kit is because I was told I could put zero psi when not towing and I would not lose the factory suspension comfort. That information was wrong its a horrible ride now and I regret getting these bags. Was also told that they don't off this kit without the stainless upgrade so I had to buy it, but when it shipped there was a separate box with the stainless kit and they regular stuff was in the same box as the bags feels like I got ripped off on this deal

This is a very nice kit. I installed on my new 2026 Silverado 2500hd. Installation was pretty straight forward, but still took a bit of thinking. After everything is mounted correctly there is a slight lean to the bags (not completely perpenticular to the mounting plates). I called Pacbrake support and they assured me this was normal and nothing to be concerned with. I had the equivalent AirLift kit on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd and I think I like the Pacbrake kit better. Everything seems a bet "beefier".
