Features to know about

Keep Your Ride Level and Confident: Up to 2,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

Hauling a heavy trailer or a bed full of gear can make the rear end sag and your headlights aim for the sky. The Air Lift Ride Control air springs provide up to 2,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle level and stable. With balanced suspension under load, you get better steering, braking, and even tire wear whether you’re towing a camper or hauling tools.

Fine-Tune Your Setup for Any Trip: Adjustable 5 psi – 100 psi Air Pressure

Every load is different, and these air springs let you dial in support exactly where you need it. With adjustable pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi, you can stiffen things up for a heavy haul or soften the ride when running empty. Each spring inflates independently for side-to-side leveling when loads aren’t perfectly centered. Manual inflation valves mount on the bumper for easy access, and you can add a compressor system with in-cab gauges later if you want automatic control.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Better Stability and Ride Quality

Heavy loads don’t have to mean a rough ride. These air springs absorb road shock and reduce sway so your vehicle stays planted over bumps, dips, and uneven pavement. That extra stability helps keep your cargo steady on long highway runs or winding roads and takes stress off your factory suspension components so everything lasts longer.

Built Smart for Easy Installation: Alignment Tool and Complete Hardware

Installing real load support shouldn’t be complicated. The Ride Control kit includes everything you need—two air springs, mounting brackets, hardware, tubing, Schrader valves, and an exclusive alignment tool that centers each spring perfectly between the frame and leaf spring. That alignment prevents rubbing against underbed parts and helps ensure consistent performance trip after trip.

Reliable Support You Can Count On: Lifetime Warranty Confidence

These adjustable air springs are made to deliver dependable support mile after mile without constant attention. They’re backed by a lifetime warranty with no mileage limit and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, giving you long-term confidence in the suspension upgrade that keeps your vehicle level and controlled under load.

Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Spring Set. Now this is gonna help to support your vehicle's suspension when you're hauling heavy loads. So as you know, the more weight you put in your pickup truck's bed, it is going to cause the rear of your truck to sag in the back end which can bring your front end up causing all sorts of issues. It can put a lot of strain on your rear suspension. It can make your steering kinda light, your tires wear unevenly and cause your headlights to come up shining into the eyes of oncoming traffic.

So all sorts of issues that can arise from having that weight in your truck's bed. But this system is designed to help level your truck back out so it will alleviate all those issues. It's going to do a great job of providing your vehicle with the extra support that it needs so it can reduce that strain on your rear suspension. It'll help to absorb your road shock to give you a much smoother ride. It's also gonna help diminish your sway and improve your overall stability for an improved ride quality and better safety.

So these will install between your vehicle's frame and the leaf springs. You are gonna get the two air springs and the mounting brackets as well as the tubing, hardware and instructions to get them all installed properly. But these mounting brackets are designed specifically for your 1995 Isuzu pickup, your 1969 through 1995 Toyota pickups and your 1993 through 1998 Toyota T100 pickup. So if you have any of those pickups these are designed specifically to mount for you. So it is gonna be a very simple installation and these are going to provide a load leveling capability of up to 2,000 pounds.

Now when you hear that, it's very tempting to think that means you're gonna be able to carry 2,000 pounds more, but this isn't going to increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. Really no suspension enhancement system is going to increase your weight carrying capacity. So think of it less like a second set of hands that's helping you lift more weight. Think of it more like a back brace. So it's just there to help support your suspension system that you already have.

It's gonna take some of the strain off of it, help it last longer. This is going to allow you to manually adjust your air pressure from 5 psi all the way up to a 100 psi so you can get the load distribution and support that you need. And so if you have a really heavy load, you can crank 'em all the way up to that 100 psi to get that full 2,000 pound load leveling capacity. If you have a lighter load, you can take some of the air out all the way down to 5 psi to allow for a nice, light engagement if you're riding empty. So it's gonna give you the the support that you need so you can level your vehicle front to rear. You can also inflate each spring independently for side to side leveling. If you have a off center load, like a big toolbox on one side of your truck, you can air up that spring more so it's going to give you more support on that side, and then that other side is still going to be able to be inflated to whatever pressure you need for the rest of your load. These do have a manual inflation set up so it comes with the tubing that you need. Typically these are mounted on the bumper so that you can easily access them and you will cut this tube in half, half of it will go to this bag, half of it will go to that bag, and so you can air those up independently. If you are interested, we do also have compressor systems available that you would install, so you don't ever have to worry about finding air up the side of the road to fill these up. If you need to change, you can have that dropped-in system so you can monitor and adjust your air pressure on the go. This system is made here in the USA so you can trust it is gonna be made to good quality standards. It does come with a lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any issues with it you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com but I think you're gonna be very happy with these. They are gonna be good quality. You could do a lot of 'em adjustability to make sure that your ride's gonna be level and they also come with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. So after you get 'em installed, you use them for a while, if you're not completely satisfied with them, you can reach out to us, we'll help you return them for full refund so no worries about performance. They're gonna do a good job for you. And if you don't like them you can always return 'em for that satisfaction guarantee. But overall, a great way to help level out your truck, make sure that you're not sagging in the back end, helping to fix some of that strain off your suspension system. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Had fun with a few friends installing this. A good garage day. Instructions are easy to follow. If you have basic mechanical skills you can do this.
Just going to help my Colorado pull our Camper.

by:

Install was simple. Took me 2 1/2 hours by myself, plus my buddy 1 hour to weld on a nice bracket for the air valves on the back bumper (see pics). Instructions were confusing and nomenclature did not match parts, but I eventually got it figured out. There are also two spots in the instructions that tell you not to tighten certain nuts down so that you can adjust the bags later, but it never tells you when or how to tighten them later.

I recommend you jack up the rear axle and remove the rear tires so you have plenty of room to move around and install this.

System looks really nice on the pickup, and you can hardly tell there's anything on there unless you are looking closely. Even while almost empty, the bags push the rear of the pickup up a little bit which looks cool. And it seems to ride smoother now too. I have not tried it with pulling cargo or a trailer yet, and will update this review if I don't notice anything good.

by:

Smoothed out the ride helps with the heavy loads ( sm. Pickup) did not lift quite as high as I thought (loaded) very happy with the purchase, install was a breeze.

by:

Had this kit installed by pros. It seems to work as advertised on my E150 Ford van

by:

Product arrived in just a couple of days and was very easy to install. Only took an hour. When I filled the system with air I found a leak on the bag itself. Called Rebecca at etrailer and she gave me the number to air lift and she would check with me in a couple of days. I called airlift and had a new bag in two days. Rebecca did email me and ask if everything was ok. Hooked the camper up and tried it out and man did it work great. This was a great buying experience and will soon purchase the on board air compressor from etrailer

by:

I purchased and installed this kit on my 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha to assist the rear springs for towing my heavy jet ski trailer, and it preformed flawlessly. Straightforward install, great quality product, and the bags are holding up really well to the abuse I've put them through. I definitely recommend this kit to anyone considering purchasing it for their rig.

by:

Install these on my 2015 Chevy Colorado. I pull a fairly big travel trailer and although it's no problem pulling it I had noticed that over the last couple of years the rear of the truck was gradually sagging more. The AirLift fixed it right up.
The ride now inspires more confidence and I definitely have more control over the whole rig.
Installation was fairly easy. I'm pretty handy but quite green when it comes to vehicles so I would say it's accessible to anyone with a handy thumb. I even managed to install them without removing the wheels. It took a bit longer and required more up and down with the car jack but since I did it a couple of hours at a time over a couple of days it allowed me to still drive during the installation process.
I'm am a huge fan and would recommend it to anyone.

by:

The product is as described. My springs are starting to sag and I wanted to return the ride without replacing the springs. I was able to adjust the ride. This will definitely help when loaded or trailering.
The install was good with the instructions, but note that the hardened steel frame sleeve (2003 GMC Astro) was a bear to drill through and chewed up drill bits. Just a note for your install. Had it on for three days. I'll update review if things change.

I found needs to be extremely helpful. I have a 1997 Econoline 150 Ford van. It was a conversion van so lots of extra weight. The back leaf springs were obviously struggling as it rode low without a trailer or any significant load. After installing the air springs, and charging them 1/3 of capacity Or 35 PSI, the ride drastically improved. Shortly after installing them I pulled a 24 foot trailer with a medium load on it, and it drastically improved the ride compared to pulling a trailer previously. Highly recommended and cheaper than new high-quality leaf springs.

The AirLift system we talked about a couple weeks ago was sent to my daughter, Kristi's house. I installed it yesterday. I'm on the road, which isn't the best place to do the installation. My father in law didn't have any socket wrenches so I started with a couple 9/16 open end wrenches. These don't work for everything. I went to the local hardware store and bought what I needed. The driver side went on much easier. The hardest bolt was the top one requiring the socket wrench to hold the nut inside the frame. I had to feel for the nut since it was hidden next to an existing frame bolt. I was able to simply jack the back of the truck up at the hitch to gain clearance. I didn't have to remove the wheels. The nylon lock nut was fun to tighten. AirLift should have supplied a simple wrench for this. I found a vice grip needle nose plier worked well enough.

Here are three photos. First is passenger side, second tries to show where top nut goes, third is drivers side. I have then filled to 28psi and will check them this morning.

Great experience working with everyone at etrailer. Very helpful and attentive to what I needed. Thanks again to all of their team!

2019 F150 FX4 W/suspension level kit. Straight forward install. Easily leveled the truck back out while towing a 24' bay boat with bed loaded down too. recommend for similar applications!

by:

great company to work with, they sent me a new air bag when mine had a leak and the shipping was fast. the install was a little difficult, had to drill holes in the frame. i have the silverado 1500 classic 07 so most aftermarket parts need some modifications anyways. i’m now able to haul comfortably without “trailer squat”

by:

2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss. These Airbags far exceeded my expectations. Installation was straightforward and took less than an hour to install.
I carry a lot of tools and equipment in my bed and these airbags keep my truck level. I put 30 PSI in each bag and haven’t lost any pressure in 2 months since they were installed.
I highly recommend this product. Also awesome Customer service when ordered

by:

Product was as advertised, and the install went smoothly. Toyota Tacomas are infamous for sagging rear ends, and these air springs handle that well. For now I can only comment on installation, as I've yet to load the truck with a heavy trailer. All parts can be mounted comfortably by jacking up the rear axle and removing a wheel. I didn't have any alignment troubles, and the instructions were specific to these parts and my truck. Buyers should be aware that air springs require regular checks to make sure they are inflated to a minimum pressure. I can easily reach in and squeeze the spring to check inflation, and it's faster than pulling out a pressure gage.

by:

I bought these to take the bounce out of the truck when pulling my front end heavy enclosed trailer. Worked fantastic. Kit came with everything needed and only took about 30 minutes to install.

by:

I was pulling a heavy trailer and wanted the airbags for stabilization and leveling. It worked even better than I expected. Was very easy to install too took less than two hours.

by:

Great system installation was not too hard. I drive a Ford E150 van full of tools, and it was sagging in the rear now I'm ridding level again and going over speed bumps without bouncing all over the place. Nice system at a good price.

by:

This kit is exactly what I wanted. The weight of my trailer tongue varies between 150# and 300#, depending on the loading of the trailer. I need the ability to account for the trailer tongue weight. This air lift kit allows me to easily level the truck with air pressure to account for various loads whether in the truck or trailer. PS - ETrailer.com is the place to purchase. They are an excellent business with great support.

by:

These have been awesome and totally changed my truck. I have a 1st Gen (2000) Tacoma. These have allowed me to load/tow right up to max recommended weight. Before these the truck was scary to drive when it was 1/2 loaded. It is much safer and easier to drive now. I love being able to add air when I need it. Since I already had a lift kit on the truck, the installation required me to fab a small bracket to make things fit, but it wasn't a big deal. Customer support was excellent answering questions.

by:

I love this system. It is perfect for leveling up my truck when hauling and towing.

by:

This was easy to install and made an immediate difference in leveling my Toyota 4x4 out. I ran it on a very rough 100 mile road/trail and it held up just fine.

by:

High quality product. I have these on a 1985 Toyota 4x4 pickup with a 1000lb camper on it full time. Only issue was that I had to fabricate a spacer to clear the parking brake cable but that wasn't a big deal. Zero issues after 1 year and 10,000 miles. Highly recommend these

by:

Yeah really good. I haul heavy wet firewood often. 2000lbs is a guess in my Toyota pickup. That weight not possible without these airbags. They get used often. No leaks. Really happy with them. Love carrying a bike pump around and pumping up after weight is on. Instal wasn't too bad as I recall. Has to bring out the grinder for a second or two.

by:

It was pretty straight forward it took me a bit longer to install but I was being overly cautious. Also a bit hesitant to drill holes in the frame but after installing it, i wasn't to worried about it. My friend ordered the same set up for his toyota and we'll be installing it the week. It helps the ride wether you are hauling or empty. I give it 5 stars on installation and final performance.

Hello George, The Airlift 59502 Ride Control Air Bag Suspension Kit is specifically designed to fit certain trucks based on their frame design, cab type, and bed length. If a product like the # AL59502 "does not work" with an extended cab model, it's usually for a few reasons: -Frame Differences: Extended cab trucks often have different frame dimensions (length, crossmember location, or frame rail width) compared to regular cab or crew cab versions.
