The flush design of the Yakima SkyLine FX keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline, giving a clean, from-the-factory look. Nothing sticks out past the sides—just two sleek aluminum crossbars that blend right in. The setup looks refined and balanced while maintaining the strength you need for gear hauling.
These aero-style crossbars are built to minimize wind noise and drag. Push-down rubber strips fill the top channels to reduce vibration and whistling while you’re driving. The result is a quieter ride, even when you’ve got a full load on top, so you can focus on the road instead of background noise.
This rack is ready for anything—from kayaks and canoes in summer to skis and cargo carriers in winter. The bars are compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers. They accept both channel-mount accessories and clamp-on mounts, giving you flexibility to use your existing gear or add new attachments later.
Constructed from aluminum, each crossbar delivers durability without unnecessary weight. With a 165-lb capacity (always observe your vehicle’s roof load limit), these bars handle heavy loads confidently—perfect for hauling everything from camping gear to paddleboards. The black finish adds a clean look while standing up to regular outdoor use.
You can upgrade your rack with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately, to deter theft of both the rack itself and any channel-mounted accessories. It’s a simple way to secure your investment when you’re parked at campgrounds or trailheads between adventures.

The rack base has worked perfectly. I took my Yakima rack off my Tacoma and transferred it to a Honda Pilot and eTrailer had the correct bracket.

You definitely want to use the gaskets and I dont recommend using the crossbars without them. Here is an install video that might help you out with this part. Let us know if you still some assistance after watching.
