This Yakima BaseLine setup gives you everything you need to start hauling gear. It includes 2 JetStream aluminum crossbars, 4 BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit. With a total bar length of 60", you get plenty of usable space for your cargo boxes, kayaks, or outdoor equipment. The system installs directly on your vehicle’s naked roof for a clean, stable setup you can count on when loading heavy or bulky gear.
These aero-style crossbars are built to keep things quiet and smooth on long drives. Their sleek aluminum shape helps air move over the rack more efficiently, reducing wind noise and vibration. Rubber strips in the top channels push down around your accessory mounts instead of needing to be trimmed, keeping the airflow clean and saving setup time.
Some racks make you cut rubber strips before mounting gear, but not this one. The JetStream bars have push-down strips that let you press hardware right into place. Once the mount is set, the strip closes back around it to fill the channel and help minimize noise. It’s simple, tidy, and leaves no extra pieces to manage later.
Whether it’s a cargo box for a long road trip or kayak carriers for a river weekend, these bars work with both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories from most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers. You get flexibility across seasons without changing your setup—just swap out attachments as your plans change.
For peace of mind when you’re parked, the towers accept Yakima’s Same Key System lock cores (sold separately). Add them to help deter theft of the rack itself so you can focus on enjoying the trip instead of worrying about your gear.

Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.

Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.

One year later and everything works well. I had a problem early on where the rubber protection for one of the j clips from the base towers came off. Contacted etrailer and they sent me a whole new assembly direct from Yakima. Thanks for the prompt response and service!
Easy to install and sturdy. I carry a 9' pontoon boat on my camper shell using this rack at freeway speeds with no problems.

I have truly enjoyed this system. It allows our family of five plus our dog to stretch out in the car while our gear is secured on the roof. It takes a bit to mount it but I want it secure and it does fine with a roof box at interstate speeds. I absolutely recommend this system.
So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.

Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
