Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Rhino-Rack RVH legs. These are one of the three necessary components for your crossbars on your vehicle's roof. This will be the middle portion. You'll also need a base kit.

So you can see that right here, obviously a little bit blown up there, but that's going to be a vehicle specific feature so that it fits right along your roof line to make sure that it's going to be nice and snug. You're not going to have any rattling or anything like that. So then this leg is going to fit right on to that base. It will tighten down using the included Allen wrench there, and then your leg is also going to attach to your crossbar. This piece here, that is going to then run the width of your vehicle so that you can mount your cargo carriers and those sort of things on top.So this is a really nice material.

It's a UV and weather resistant, glass reinforced, nylon construction. So it's going to hold up really well for you. These are high profile legs, so you have that two and a half inches of height. So be plenty of room to reach under there and make adjustments if you need to, but also if you have ski carriers or something like that, and your ski lips are hanging over the edge, they're not going to be making contact with your vehicle's roof. So having that high profile is going to be really nice for you.

These are also lock-in, so they come with keys. You can easily unlock there to open it up, make your adjustments. That's where you'll tighten it down, and then these do include screws to get your crossbar tightened down as well but your Allen key that you're using to tighten down onto your base can fit right here inside our leg. So then it's always there when we need it. Just close it up and we're ready to go.Having that locking feature is really nice to make sure that everything is going to be secured.

We're not going to have to worry about anyone coming along and taking off with our crossbars and a roof rack and all the components that we have mounted up on our roof. As far as getting this installed, it's going to be very simple. Once you have all three of those components, these, obviously this is just the two sides of one bar. We also have other sets. So if you have two bars or three bars, we do you have other leg packs that will give you four or six legs, but this is just for a single bar. So if you are just adding a bar to your current system, this will work out well for you, but all the instructions are included on how to get it mounted in place. The only thing I will recommend is those base packs are vehicle specific.So I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Just type in your year, make and model of your vehicle and we'll let you know which products will fit for you. So those vehicle specific base kits will be there for you to make sure that you're getting the right one the first time but overall, I think this is going to be a great option for you. If you are adding a bar onto your system, it's just going to give you more options as to what kind of things you can mount up there, carry more on your roof. It's always nice to be able to take things out from inside your vehicle, put them up there. So you have more room inside, and sometimes you just don't have room for things like your longer skis and those sort of things. So having crossbars is a really nice option for your vehicle and I think these are going to do a great job for you. So that's going to complete our look for today.
