Cargo boxes, bags, and baskets are great for transporting gear on your vehicle's roof. A cargo box has the added benefits of an aerodynamic shape that reduces drag and wind noise, a hard shell to protect your gear, and a higher degree of weather resistance. And you can latch and lock a cargo box for added protection against theft.
The Ridge has 8 cu ft of storage space for camping supplies, sports equipment, and other gear. The aerodynamic, low-profile design helps to reduce drag and wind noise. The lid opens on the passenger's side for easy loading and unloading. The box has internal tie-down points for securing cargo, and it mounts to your crossbars with U-bolts and hand knobs.
The Ridge's lid is constructed of durable, 3-layer ABS plastic with a transparent acrylic outer layer. This gives it a glossy finish yet it's still resistant to impacts, scratches, warping, cracking, and UV rays. The base is constructed of vacuum-formed plastic.
The Ridge opens on the passenger's side of your vehicle for easy access to your gear.
The Ridge has a safety lock system with locks on each side of the lid. The keys cannot be removed unless the box is closed and locked. This prevents you from driving off with an unlocked box. The locks also deny would-be thieves access to your gear and the cargo box's mounting hardware.
The Ridge mounts with U-bolts, hand knobs, and plates to most crossbars. The U-bolts fit around your crossbars and thread through mounting holes in the bottom of the box. Slide the plates over the U-bolts inside the box and secure them with hand knobs. Plug the remaining mounting holes with the included covers.
Two included tie-down straps let you secure your gear to 4 internal anchor points. Simply thread the nylon straps through anchor rings on the mounting plates and wrap them around your gear. The straps secure with buckles that can be operated with one hand.
Two strap hooks are also included. These hooks attach to the underside of the box lid and provide a place to hang the straps to keep them out of the way as you're loading cargo.
Perfect addition to a small car. Once installed, it’s very useable. It is not an easy on / easy off but, for the price, absolutely worth it.

I love that I can put this on my car and remove it without assistance. I didn't want something too big, and this is large enough for my needs. I'm looking forward to using it soon.
Amazing box. We added it to our lambo for rallies. Used sea sucker mounts.
So I really needed something that was both small but still had lots of room to fit on top of my ND Rf Miata and this was the perfect size.
So the method to attach it is quick and pretty easy and I'm able to do it myself without really needing a second pair of hands which is convenient.
Installing onto the top of a camper van. The install will have to be custom, but the existing mounting is flexible enough that I don't anticipate any problems. There is some concern that I intend to make this a permanent installation and the cargo box is UV sensitive. It is unclear how sensitive, however. I must have missed that reading the original specs.
The Rooftop cargo box works really well. Just right for our Corolla. It has been dry inside after a rain. Our roof is limited to 100 lbs so we use it for our lighter things. Double latch and push button insures proper closing. No effect on mpg.
This Inno rooftop box is excellent!! Very easy to install, solid design and materials, and quiet even at high speeds. The size was just right for me, though it is fairly small. But I think that's why it's so study and doesn't make noice on the road. If you're looking for a one-person cargo box to stash away your extra gear, this is a fantastic option!! Highly recommend. And the folks at eTrailer are wonderful too!
The Cargo box itself is nice but, The Shipper ESTES sucks. The box arrived all scared up and scuffed. I had to use Rubbing compound to remove all os the scuffs and scratches. etrailer needs to package this type of product better. Other than that it works as advertised.

Installed easily and looks great. Perfect to get 4-5 small bags of gear of the floor of the Pacifica. Wanted a smaller box as to not run the risk of over packing with the lower weight limit on the Pacifica factory bars. And the customer service at etrailer is awesome!

This rooftop box is still going very strong. It still has the luxe. Looks like it will last forever very functional no problems after a year.
Study enough for tools, gas, chairs which I regularly carry. Looks good and good price. A little difficult to open but so can other "name brands" be. Has not leaked water during rain as far as I can tell. Air noise is no more than Yakima that I had.
The Inno Ridge is an excellent addition to my black Honda Fit. It really gives me that extra bit of storage space that I need to extend the use of my nice little car without having to buy a bigger one.
Great box for the price. No quick on off though. Love it. I would purchase again.

I reached out to the manufacturer and my contact there advised that they leave their cargo box on year round. They have not experienced fading or warping in that time. I recommend using a cover with the box when your are able to, to prevent UV damage long term.
