When only the lower convex glass is cracked and your mirror head is still usable, replacing the full mirror assembly adds work and parts you're not trying to touch. This Burco Redi Cuts piece replaces just the RV side view mirror glass, restoring the damaged viewing surface without swapping the full OEM mirror assembly. Once the broken glass is addressed, your existing mirror body can keep doing its job while you get a clear reflection back in that lower section.
The lower mirror section matters most when you need a wider look along the side of a large vehicle. This replacement uses a lower convex surface, so the repair brings back the wide-angle view from that lower glass area. After it's installed, you can use that section again for checking nearby traffic, lane position, and close-side clearance.
Mirror glass repairs go sideways fast when the replacement is even slightly off, so the size needs to match before anything gets installed. This drop-fit glass is specified at 7" tall x 7-1/2" wide x 9" diagonal, with the longest diagonal measured from the inside upper corner to the outside lower corner. After confirming those measurements against your mirror glass, the replacement can fit into the correct lower mirror space and put that viewing surface back in use.
Replacing mirror glass often means working near old adhesive, cracked pieces, and tight mirror openings, so the edge finish matters during the repair. So folks, this is a great option for you if you have a cracked or broken side view mirror, this can restore visibility without having to spend lots of extra money getting a full OEM mirror assembly. Now this particular one fits a lot of Jaycos, Freightliners, and different other RVs and coaches. So always measure to get the best possible fit and to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now how do you measure Well, it's pretty simple.
You're gonna simply measure vertical up and down for a tall measurement, height measurement, and then side to side horizontally, and then diagonally at your longest upper to outside lower measurements. And I'm gonna show you this particular one right now. So if I do a height, if I go from the bottom, I get right at seven inches tall overall. And then if I do a side to side, I get right at seven half inches. And then diagonally, longest corner to longest corner, I get right at nine inches.
So as you can see, it's got a really nice reflection just like a mirror should have. It is curved to match the OE. And then of course you get these adhesive round discs, and these are gonna give you some cushion and also help with the installation. So make sure you're checking out the instructions and be sure you're getting the right one the first time and installing it correctly the first time. Now this again is a drop fit installation, so it's gonna be quick and easy.
A nice DIY replacement. And it's gonna replace that factory mirror, has nice smooth edges, making it safe to handle as you can see. And it is a premium mirror glass, giving you an awesome, clear reflection. You can already see my fingerprints here on the new glass. So very nice product.
