When only the upper flat glass is cracked and your mirror head is still usable, replacing the full mirror assembly adds work and parts you're not trying to touch. This Burco Redi Cuts piece replaces just the RV side view mirror glass, restoring the damaged viewing surface without swapping the full OEM mirror assembly. Once the broken glass is addressed, your existing mirror body can keep doing its job while you get a clear reflection back in that upper section.
The upper mirror section matters most when you need a direct look at traffic, lane position, and what's behind a large vehicle. This replacement uses an upper flat surface, so the repair brings back the main viewing area from that upper glass section. After it's installed, you can use that section again for checking rearward traffic, setting your lane changes, and judging distance behind you.
Mirror glass repairs go sideways fast when the replacement is even slightly off, so the size needs to match before anything gets installed. This drop-fit glass is specified at 8-1/2" tall x 8-3/8" wide x 10-3/8" diagonal, with the longest diagonal measured from the inside upper corner to the outside lower corner. After confirming those measurements against your mirror glass, the replacement can fit into the correct upper mirror space and put that viewing surface back in use.
Replacing mirror glass often means working near old adhesive, cracked pieces, and tight mirror openings, so the edge finish matters during the repair. Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Burco Redi Cuts RV side mirror replacement glass. Now folks, this is a direct replacement for a lot of different freight liners and Newmar RVs and coaches. So make sure you're measuring, number one, to match up the best possible fitment, and you're checking the fit guide over here at etrailer.com as well. Now, what's great about these that I personally love is it's a replacement glass itself, so you're saving lots of money by not having to buy that whole expensive mirror assembly.
And if you've ever had to replace one, you know just how costly those can be. So this is a great cost-effective option. As you can see, it's got a high-reflective surface. You can already see my fingerprints and stuff on here, and you can also see some behind the shots kind of scenes here in the studio. There's my camera.
So they give you a lot of different things for install. They got some foam pads here, they got little suction cup, that's for helping you get it, you know, held where you put it in place. And they've got this plastic mount here along with this adhesive round mount pad as well. So all this combined with the instructions is gonna make it a pretty simple DIY replacement. Now again, I talked to you about measuring it. You wanna make sure you're measuring top to bottom. I get 8 1/2 inches tall. You went on to then measure the widest point, on this particular mirror, it's at the very bottom, and I get 8 3/8 inches wide. And then you wanna measure diagonally at the longest diagonal part, and I get roughly 10 3/8 inches diagonally.
Now, obviously this is not inside of the mirror housing itself, so this image on your screen obviously is a different shaped mirror, but if you look at the diagonal and the top to bottom and all that, that's how you're gonna be measuring. You wanna get basically as close as possible. Most of these mirrors, they're gonna be within spec within probably I'd say a quarter of an inch or something like that. Don't quote me on that, but meaning that plastic's gonna be there. If you get close enough, these mirrors are pretty close that it should be the right thing for you.
