The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Today, we're gonna take a look at the Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, the dual knob handles, and this one is a nice chrome finish. Now, this is a wall mount RV shower valve that'll let you upgrade the bathroom shower valve in your RV or your camper. If you notice on this one, it has the top mount vacuum breaker, and that allows you to attach a handheld shower set to your faucet here. Now, that shower set is sold separately on our website.
What's nice with this vacuum breaker right up here, this prevents the backflow contamination of your clean water supply. If you notice it is a dual handle design. Has the crystal knob style handles. And what's nice on these handles, they are a quarter-turn cartridge stem, which enables the faucet to turn on and off in a quarter of a turn. It does use a washerless cartridge design, which reduces the friction and daily wear for nice long-lasting durability.
And as you can see, this as a nice non-metallic ABS plastic construction. And you can see it has a nice, bright, shiny chrome finish to it. We mentioned it is a wall mount two-hole installation. The inlet shanks right here have the standard male NPSM connections. Does come with the deck plate right here when you go to install it that it puts on, put on there, and then the two mounting nuts that you'll tighten it down with.
Now, it does require tile and tub caulk and that is not included. You would have to supply that for installation. Few specs on this, if we measured the overall width, we go from one side to the other side is right at six inches wide. The overall height, from the bottom to the top of the vacuum breaker, three inches tall. And the depth we're gonna measure from the front of the knob to where it goes up against the wall when it's installed, and that's gonna be right at 2 7/8 inches deep.
The distance between the inlet shanks are the standard center to center four inches. And the inlet shank inner diameter on these is a half an inch. Again, you can see the quarter of a turn on the knob. But that should do it for the review on this Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, the dual knob handles, and the nice chrome finish..
