Recommended Standard Height Toilet to Replace a Thetford Toilet

Thanks for the information Traci. To replace your Grand Design's toilet, I recommend the Dometic 410 RV Toilet item # DMC44JF in White Porcelain or item # DMC64JF in Tan Porcelain. These are both standard height toilets that will fit the floor flange and space your Thetford toilet is in. The standard height is great because the seat is 18" off the floor making it comparable to the toilets in your home. They also include a slow close lid which is really nice if you're using the toilet at night because you don't have to worry about it slamming shut and waking people up.

The Dometic 410 RV Toilet item # DMC44JF in White Porcelain or item # DMC64JF in Tan Porcelain measure 17-5/8" long x 15" wide x 19-1/2" tall. These are gravity flush toilets with a full bowl rinse. The gravity flush system is operated by the right side foot pedal and features a 360° rinse pattern to make sure everything is washed down the drain. These toilets only need 7-5/8" clearance from the mounting holes in the flange to the wall of your motorhome so it'll be a quick replacement.

Another nice perk is that you can add the Hand Sprayer Installation Kit for Dometic RV Toilets item # DOM75FR. It does only come in white though.
