Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Thomas Payne Signature Swivel Glider RV Recliner with Footrest. Now, if you're looking to make your RV feel a little bit more like home, this upgrade is going to be a great item for you to consider. This is designed specifically for RV living, so it's compact enough to fit through narrow entryways, and this is going to give you all the comforts of home, basically, but it's not going to take up a whole lot of space like normal residential furniture would. So this is designed for RV living for sure, and people love a chair like this because it combines comfort, it's going to be very practical, and it also combines style in one friendly package.
This is going to give you a real living room-like feel that you have in your home while working with those tighter spaces that you encounter with RVs or campers living room. And let me go ahead and try to give you just a slightly lower angle view here, closer up view, just so you can get a better view of this chair. And this is going to really be really versatile for you because it can swivel. My favorite function of this chair is that it glides, which I love, I'm a big fan of rocking recliner chairs, so well, I don't buy a recliner at home unless it rocks. So it needs to move and this is the next best thing, it glides and it's smooth, it's very comfortable.
And so, and the ability to recline is very simple to use as well. If you notice, we have a little lever here, so if you pull that out, that's going to allow you to fully relax and extend. And so, very easy to use and as I've been saying since we've began our time together here in this video, you're gonna have all the comforts of home. Speaking of the reclining feature here in the footrest, I just wanted to point out here that you see we have the Thomas Payne logo here, and it's basically a plastic sleeve that goes over this that's a shoe protector or a shoe guard. You can keep that on, and if you keep your shoes on when you climb into the chair, a plastic sleeve's gonna help protect that upholstery from your shoes.
If you don't like it, you can cut it off as well. So just a few measurements before we go on, looking at the overall width from end of arm to end of arm, we're sitting right at 30.5 inches wide. The overall length, we're sitting right around 36.5 inches long. The overall height from top to bottom, about 39 inches. And then when you have this fully reclined from the top to the bottom of the footrest, about 62 inches.
And some of our neighbors like to know about the sitting length here. So looking at the length of the seat, especially when this is reclined, you're gonna have more of a seating area because you're gonna be reclining back. It's gonna be about 22.5 inches long. And then the width is gonna be about 20-inches wide. So this upholstery is made from a durable PolyHyde vinyl is what Thomas Payne calls it. And it's in this Mccoy color. And the best way that I can describe it to you is kind of like a warmish brown tone, to my eyes, especially depending on the lighting, it can almost be almost a gray color. So it's one of those colors that I think, depending on the light, will blend in with whatever you got going on inside of your living space. But again, kind of a medium to warm brown tone, bordering on slightly gray color. It's soft to the touch, again, it's a vinyl material, it's supposed to look like leather. And I imagine it's gonna be very easy to keep clean if you spill something on it, it should be very easy to clean up. It's not gonna soak into the material. So this is gonna be perfect for your life on the move in your RV for pets or the occasional coffee spill 'cause we know those things do happen. Comfort wise, it's got really plush padding. And I have to say, I prefer a chair that's slightly more firm, and I think this fits the bill. You do kind of have a slight sink in feeling. So it is comfortable, but yet it doesn't lack support, it does feel like it gives you quite a bit of support in the back as well, which I appreciate the older that I get. But, again, it's gonna be very easy to use, very comfortable. I love the fact that it swivels as well. So you're gonna be able to turn 360 degrees no matter what. And then the glider feature is probably my favorite part of the chair.
