Today we're going to take a look at the Valterra RV Three Way Sewer Elbow. It has the three inch bayonet end, the two inch hub inlet, the one and a half inch rotating flange end, and the three inch rotating flange end. Now this is a three way sewer elbow that is made of a durable ABS plastic construction. This part is used in your black water system of your RV. We'll start with the bayonet end. The bayonet is the one that would have the four pins on the end right here. What that does, is it allows a cap to be able to put on and twist it into place.
Usually the cap will have two hooks on it, or a sewer hose that will have four hooks on it, that when you put it on you just twist it onto the pins. It supplies a nice, secured connection. Just to give you idea, I happen to pull a cap. You can see it has the two hooks, so all you have to do is when you put the cap on, if you just twist this, you can see as you twist it, it will lock it into place and give you a nice, secure connection. As I mentioned you can also do that with the sewer hose. Now the rotating flange ends, what's nice with those, once they're installed completely, it will still allow the elbow to rotate after these flange plates are all connected to their connections.
Now I do want to give you some measurements on this. We are going to start with the internal measurement on the bayonet end. The internal measurement on that is going to be right at three inches. Now we'll go over to the hub inlet side. Internal dimension on that is right at two and three eighth inches.
Now on the rotating flange end, we'll start with the three inch internal dimension. That's going to be right at three inches. On the flange itself, I'm going to give you the measurement of the mounting hole center to center, is three and three quarter inches. Then we'll go over to the smaller one. This is the one and a half inch rotating flange end.
Internal measurement is one and a half inches. The measurement on the mounting holes on that flange is right at two and a half inches center to center. That should do it for the review on the Valterra RV Three Way Sewer Elbow with the three inch bayonet end, the two inch hub inlet, the one and a half inch rotating flange end, and the three inch rotating flange end.

I recently was able to use the elbow and it worked with no problem, shipping was great.
When installing, the gray and black tank pipes have to match up almost perfectly or else one of the flanges will slip over the raised lip of the pipe when you begin to torque them down. Either the raised lip needs to be larger or the flange needs to be of a more rigid material. It took me 30 minutes of maneuvering the pipes so the flanges would stay in place. Very annoying.

how do you hook you hook up your sewer hose to this part??? There is a piece of pipe adhered to the drain that blocks you from installing the sewer hose.

Austin helped me find the exact right part. A truck retread had ripped the sewer elbow off the RV, so I didn't have a part number. I wish the o-rings that seal the elbow to the valves had been mentioned, I would have bought them also.
Looked like a perfect fit for the one I was replacing. Installed it. When I opened the valve the elbow pulled out of the flange dumping black water on the ground. Fortunately it wasn't a lot. Any insights as to went wrong would be appreciated. Not sure how the flange came off of the elbow itself.
