Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's talk skylights today, folks, specifically, the Specialty Recreation universal replacement RV skylight for an 18 by 24 inch rough opening in a nice white color. Now again, folks, 18 by 24, that's the rough opening, but as far as the overall dimensions, I got 27 1/2 long by 21 1/2 inch wide. Now again, it's gonna fit an 18 by 24 inch opening. It's approximately five inches tall on the height of the bubble. Now this is gonna replace a damaged or worn out skylight on your RV, camper, or enclosed trailer.
It is a nice durable polycarbonate construction. It's UV resistant. It can withstand lots of impacts and those kind of things, as you can see, it pops right back out. It's kind of a white translucent material, so it's gonna help diffuse light and also reduce glare. Now it is an easy installation.
As you can see, it's got pre-drilled holes all the way around the exterior of it, and it's gonna require some screws that are sold separately. You can get them here at etrailer.com or you can pick some up locally, just some short screws work. You're also gonna need this tube. This tube is included. It's an SR 140 sealant.
You never want to use a self-leveling sealant with these polycarbonate skylights because the self-leveling sealants out there have chemicals in 'em that don't react well with polycarbonate. They'll actually eat through it over time and break down. So again, never use self-leveling sealants with polycarbonate, only use the included SR 140 that comes with these. You get a nice one year warranty. It is made here in the US.
This is the Specialty Recreation universal replacement RV skylight in white, again, for an 18 by 24 inch rough opening cutout. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching. Have a great day.
