Replacing a cracked or discolored skylight garnish means you need a proper fit without guesswork. This inner garnish fits standard 22" x 22" cutouts, lets in more natural light, and gives your ceiling a finished look.
Finding a replacement that lines up with an existing cutout can stall a repair, especially when exact specs are unclear. This garnish is built for a 22" x 22" cutout with a 24" x 24" flange, so it aligns with common opening sizes and provides full interior coverage. You can focus on matching the opening instead of chasing exact model specs.
After removing a skylight, exposed foam and wood around the opening can leave the interior looking unfinished. This garnish installs on the inside to cover those rough edges and sits flush against the ceiling. The white sidewalls help conceal those edges, while the clear top still allows light through. The result is a clean, finished look without blocking natural light.
Interior trim that sits too high can interfere with the skylight above or reduce usable space. With an approximate 6" bubble height, this garnish is shaped to nest without contacting the skylight when measurements are verified. You keep the intended clearance without unwanted contact points.
Fully clear garnishes can highlight unfinished areas around the cutout, while fully white ones reduce incoming light. This design uses a clear top to allow direct light in, paired with white sides that help hide exposed foam and wood. You get a brighter interior without drawing attention to rough edges around the opening.
Missing hardware during installation can slow things down if you're not prepared. This garnish installs using 1" screws, which are not included, and some people add butyl tape (sold separately) inside the flange. That tape can help block water from getting inside, while others skip it so any skylight leak shows up right away instead of being hidden. Having your materials ready and knowing how you want to seal it avoids delays once you start.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Specialty Recreation Inner Garnish for your RV skylights used in a 22 by 22-inch cutout in clear. So folks, make sure you get the right size from the start. You're gonna use this as a 22 by 22-inch cutout. It has been sized with a 24 by 24-inch flange on the exterior.
It does have a nice UV-resistant polycarbonate and that's gonna stand up to both sun exposure without cracking, without discoloring. The rigid design stays put just as I showed you, pops right back out, no warping, no lifting in between the screws after you've installed it. Everything you need here is gonna be great. Clear polycarbonate, let's maximum amount of light inside your RV, and they do offer this in a couple different options as well. Sizes, colors, possibly.
So check them out here at etrailer.com as well if you're looking for something different. Now the bubble height is approximately six inches tall overall. That could vary from one to one, maybe by 1/8th of an inch max. And that's just depending on the mold and everything. You will need small screws that are not included for the installation.
So keep that in mind as well. You can pick some up here with a kit or locally if you need to. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
