Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer Black Weatherproof GFI Outlet Cover. This weatherproof GFI cover is a simple but practical upgrade for anyone who's wanting to better protect their outdoor or exposed electrical outlets. This is specifically designed for dual GFCI outlets. It's gonna help keep dust, dirt, and debris away from the receptacle while also adding protection against weather exposure. Now, one of the standout features as you probably already saw here is gonna be that snap closed design, which makes it easy to quickly open the cover when you need to plug something in and then securely close it afterwards, just like that.
So, that means that you're gonna get convenient access without sacrificing protection. Now, that black finish is going to give this a clean, standard appearance that's going to blend in well with most outdoor or utility setups, whether it's on an RV, garage, workshop, patio or exterior wall. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward as well. You're gonna get the hardware here and you're also going to get this gasket. So, basically everything that you need to get this installed in place.
And I took some measurements, and let me go ahead and go over them with you. So, looking at what I'm calling the overall width, we're sitting right at about 4 3/4 inches wide. And that slightly tapers the lower that you go, so we're just kind of in that range there. And then the height, about 2 7/8 inches. And then the thickness at the thickest point is almost an inch, and then that's going to progressively go down, the measurement there, the thickness, the lower you go just because the tapers down like that.
But I just wanted to give you some rough measurements so you have a good idea of what to expect. So, overall, this is gonna be a durable, easy-to-use outlet cover that's gonna help extend the life and reliability of your GFCI outlets by shielding them from the elements while still keeping them easily accessible.
