Exact replacement. Steps are out when they should be out and in when they should be in. You have to be careful that you order the right switch as they make both a normally closed and a normally open version. Don't ask how I know.

Third time's a charm.... This is the third switch I have received to get the right one.
The problem is in the description of these momentary switches, none tell if they are Normally Open or Normally Closed. This one piece of information could solve a lot of frustrations, and shipping costs on both sides.
To be fare... The actual manufacture web site did not have this information either.
This installation was for entry lights as the door is opened to the RV, not for steps as in the description. This is a Normally Closed Switch.

The original part on the coach was a bit cheesy but this replacement design seems much better constructed. The metal is thick and it feels like a part that would last a long time. Better than the plastic part that was the original plunger switch. Good part at a good price!

Replacement for 9270 Plunger Door Sensor on 2016 Keystone Montana
Hello Bj; the Replacement Plunger Door Sensor with Striker Plates for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379388 is the same as your 9270 switch so it will work. Our pictures of the front have it covered with the striker plate but you can see 9270 stamped into the mounting plate in the picture I attached below.

Recommended Power Winch For Raising Enclosed Trailer Door Ramp
I called my contacts at our winch suppliers to see if there were any winches available that perform as you requested. I was unable to find a winch that had an auto shutoff when the winch senses a trailer door is closed since winches constantly feel resistance. They did agree it was a great idea but it would require a spring loaded trigger button to stop power to the winch which they currently don't make. I'm sure with a little engineering you could make something like # LC379388 work. Otherwise...
