Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Bladex 2" waste valve. This valve will get installed in an RV waste system. It would install between two pipes with flange fittings. It's going to feature a die-cast aluminum handle, it's very strong and durable. The threaded handle is easily replaceable if ever needed, and it's going to feature a stainless steel shaft. It's also going to come with chemically-resistant sand-prene 00:00:24 seals, and necessary installation hardware. The overall length of the unit, with the handle in the closed position, that's going to give us a measurement of about 7-1/2".
With it in the fully open position, that's going to increase the overall length to about 10-1/4". Then mount-hole separation on the unit, it's going to be the same distance between each hole. That's going to be pretty close to 2-7/8". Again, that's going to be the same separation measurement between every two holes, as long as you're going straight and not diagonal. If we do take a diagonal measurement, that mount-hole separation is going to be right around 4-1/8". Now, when you're ready to install it, all you need to do is remove the old valve and seals, place the new seals over the lip of the existing flange fittings, insert your new valve, and then install your hardware and get everything tightened down.
The T-handle allows just a really nice, easy-grip design when it comes to opening and closing the valve. Then that valve opening, when the seals are in their appropriate place, that's going to give you an opening diameter of 2", so that's why this is a 2" waste valve. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Bladex 2" waste valve.
