The rug wraps around your step and secures with included springs - no screws, glue, or tools needed. Springs connect the front and back grommet holes of the rug underneath your RV step to give you a clean, seamless look. Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Presto fit, Outrigger RV step rug. This is an 18 inch wide step rug. That's going to cover your straight steps for your RV whether they're a manual or an electric step. This will give you a nice place to wipe your feet off as you're going in so that you're not tracking as much dirt into your RV and you won't have to clean the floors as frequently.
This is also a solid design. So it's going to be great for those of you who have pets. If you currently don't have a cover on your steps you'll probably have holes there that your pets can see through and might make them afraid to climb in and out on their own. So having this nice solid carpet here that's going to give them the confidence. They need to be able to enter and exit your RV at their own will.
This is a heavy duty outdoor carpet. So it's going to hold up really well for you. It's going to resist UV damage mold and mildew does have this nice almond brown color. And it also has this micro ribbed texture to it. That's going to provide plenty of traction for us as we're going in and out.
We're not going to have to worry about our feet slipping off or anything like that. It's going to be very easy to clean. We just have to remove it. So we'll undo our springs on the bottom here and that will allow us pull our carpet off. You can just spray this down with the hose, let it air dry.
Once it's dry can very easily just put it right back in place. You can see on the front here we do have two different grommets that's for our different sized steps so that we can have proper tension on them. This will fit with steps up to eight inches deep. Like we have here. I'm demonstrating on, so very easy to pull these springs forward, get them put on those grommets so that we have proper tension and our rugs not going to be sliding as we're walking up on it. This is made here in the USA. So you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the U.S I really like this color, this almond brown, it's kind of a light brown color. So it might do a decent job at kind of hiding some of that dirt and debris, although it is a little light. So you might still see some of the dark mud spots and that sort of thing. So it is very easy to clean. So you might just have to clean it a little bit more frequently, but we do have other options available as well. Some darker browns and blacks that might do a better job at hiding that dirt. So if you're looking for other color options or this is just the single step model if you would like multiple step options we have those available here at etrailer.com as well. So we'll make sure that you're getting the right product for your situation. Overall, I think this is going to do a really good job giving you that soft surface. So even if your barefoot it's going to feel very comfortable walking in and out so that you can enjoy your time in your RV a little bit more. That's going to complete our look for today. We like the step covers for the fact that you keep most of the mess out of the rv and the nonslip cover makes it safer on wet day's
This is our second set of step protectors. We got the first set to try and cut down on the amount of debris that is tracked into our camper. Not only did the protectors do that, they also eliminated how slick the steps were if they were the slightest bit wet. I would highly recommend them!
I like these step covers. They fit well, are easy to keep clean, and help to remove dirt and debris from shoes and feet and keep it outside. But most of all, they make it much easier for our 4-legged travel companion to go up and down the steps.
Just received these a couple days ago. They seem to be quality step rugs. I haven't had time to go to the storage lot to check the fit and install. I think these will allow my dog to use the steps easier because the metal seems to scare her.
Purchased 2 for our class A motorhome. These actually replaced the ones I previously purchased. They've lasted for 2 years. Excellent quality! I don't however use the springs it comes with. I find they are too difficult to stretch to hook into the grommet. I use black wire ties instead. Works great.

They were easy to put on, the color was accurate to what I saw online and it took away the fear that our dog had going up our metal steps. She goes up them now without any hesitation. I would purchase them again.

These were installed on a 2022 Winnebago View with electric steps. I was concerned that they might be too thick for proper operation of the steps. They were easy to install and the steps worked as they should. Etrailer does it again!
This a a good wide step cover. It was used to cover two 30 x 11 steps on a ‘14 Tiffin Allegro. The Outrigger was paired with 2 Prest-O-Fit landing steps that each have 2 Velcro strips to secure interior rig in place.
Stair covers were exactly what I expected, the instructions are very clear on installation, it took me roughly 15 to 20 minutes to install five stair covers and shortly thereafter, all three of our small dogs were going up and down them without any problem.
In the pictures, we did offset them to one side since when the fifth wheel door is open you don’t have access to that much of the stair so it’s actually centered for the amount of stair we walk up

The videos of the options available for the width and depth of our steps were extremely valuable. We selected the “Outrigger” version which provides a softer feel. Although the “Astro turf” style would clean better, we felt that bare feet would appreciate the less aggressive texture. The fit and finish of the product is spot on. In order to get a straight pull on the tension securing springs with an 11” step depth, the grommets face outward on the edge of the step. This is not a problem for us although it is worth mentioning.
If these last as long as their predecessors, they’re well worth it. It took many years of active camping to wear out my last set. I recommend this product.
