Video Transcript for Review of Go Power RV Power Inverter - Advanced Pure Sine Wave 2000 Watt Inverter - GP72QR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Go Power Advanced Pure Sine Wave 2000 Watt Inverter. Now this is a 2000 watt inverter that's designed for your RVs and it's going to let you use your everyday household electronics when you're running off of a 12 volt battery system. Basically, this takes the DC power from your RV's battery and converts it to AC power. The same kind that you're going to get from a wall outlet at home.

And then that's going to feed the power into your RV's electrical system. Now this inverter is going to be great for RV owners who want reliable household style power while traveling or camping off grid. This is going to be especially useful for those running sensitive electronics like TVs, laptops, or audio equipment thanks to its pure sign wave output. With strong power capacity and smart monitoring options, this is gonna be a great fit for travelers who want flexibility, safety, and control over their onboard power system. Now, in terms of power, as I've said already, this is gonna give you 2000 watts of continuous running power with up to 4,000 watts of surge power to handle startup loads from things like appliances or power tools.

That's gonna give you plenty of flexibility for running multiple devices at once. And this is also designed with usability and safety in mind. You're gonna get multiple connection points, including GFCI protected AC output. On the other side here, you're going to get your DC input terminals and then you have a remote port here and you can switch it on and off right here. This also has built-in safety protections that guard against short circuits, overloads, and overheating, so it can shut itself down before damage occurs.

Now for monitoring and control, it's power track screen compatible. Now they're just sold separately from this and this is going to work with multiplex systems as well. It also supports Bluetooth, letting you check status and settings from your smartphone. And installation's gonna be pretty straightforward, especially if you use the optional fuse block installation kit to safely connect it to your RV's battery. And that is recommended by the way, that fuse block installation kit, just to give you that, that additional layer of security and safety, and that's not included with this.

Physically, this is pretty compact for what it gives you. Lemme get my tape measure here, give you some measurements here. So looking at the length first, we're sitting pretty close to 16 inches long, looking at the width, about nine inches wide, and then the height, about four inches tall or so. So this is going to, I believe it's gonna be a pretty easy fit into most RV setups. So this is gonna be a solid option if you want reliable, clean power in your RV, especially if you're running sensitive electronics and you want monitoring and safety features built in. Now, I wanted to also point out that if you think you would need help getting this installed or you just want someone else to install it for you, do take a look at our installer locator link that you can find on this product page, it's typically right below our photos on this page. You can click that link and give some information about your area and that installer locator will find an etrailer partnered installer in your area to help install this for you if you're interested. But again, you can find out on this product page, but if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this inverter or anything that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

See what our Experts say about this Go Power RV Power Inverter

  • Is Modified Sine Wave Inverter Appropriate for Micrwave, TV, Fridge, and Laptop
Hey Corey! A modified sine wave inverter would not be the best option for your setup. The laptop would probably be the least likely to have problems since it will have its own charger/adapter that converts back to DC. The electronics on your microwave, fridge, and TV might run extra hot, could hum and make noise, and may wear out prematurely if you're using it frequently. Also, with a single solar panel and 2 lead acid batteries a 5,500 watt inverter is quite large. I'm guessing those...
