Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Furion Y adapter. This is going to allow you to plug into a power pedestal at the Marina or maybe a plug it into your shore power at your RV campsite, that uses a 50 amp connection. So this is going to be our 50 amp male connector there that goes to two 30 amp female connections to plug into your boat or your RV. Now, this is typically going to be used more for boat applications, marine applications.A lot of times boats will have two ports or two inlets for power, and they'll kind of have like one circuit for your AC and then the other circuit for everything else, because usually AC takes in the most power. So this is going to help you to get that connection that you need. And again, split from the 50 amp to two 30 amps.
They will need extension cords to come off of this, it's only three feet long. So, doubt that you'll be able to be that close to the power pedestal. But it will at least get that power adapted to the form that you need. And it also comes with a fun tearing bag and a strap saber. This just kind of helps to keep everything tightened, or more together than if it's just splayed out everywhere. So let's jump in and take a closer look at the cord and also show you the bag to make sure that this is the right fit for you.
And so here's our ENS 50 amp connection there, and then our 30 amp connection. It also has those ceiling collars to make a nice watertight connection between the cord adapter and your extension cord coming off of there. So nice heavy duty construction, it's built for use on boats so it should be up to the task for that. It does have a little indicator here on the 30 amp connectors to let you know if power is going through there. So it's just like a little blue light that'll come on.
That little dot on the logo. And should be pretty easy to use. They do work with all other brands. It's a pretty universal fit. So there's no issue there, you don't have to work with other Furion cords to make this work. So if you already have some cords from a different manufacturer, should work out just fine.
They are tested by a third party to make sure that they're up to standard and Furion makes some really nice stuff. Again, 50 amp, two 30 amps. It is rated for 125 volts. As far as the bag, it is a nice waterproof carrying bag, plenty of room for our adapter cord. I'm going to tighten it up here. The cord measures about three feet long, roughly. It might be a little bit longer if you actually go from plug to plug, but that's about how big it is.So we can kind of cinch that off, plop it into that bag. And then I would say definitely have enough room to fit in those extension cords off of this. So it's, it can hold a bunch of other stuff as well as a pretty nice bag overall, as far as just keeping all your power cords in one spot. So again, they're not just rolling around getting tangled as cords want to do. Nice big zipper there. Handles combine into one to make it a little easier to carry. So you can see that hand saver there. But that's pretty much it. As far as our look at the Furion power port adapter. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right one for you. We do have a lot of other options, as far as power cords and adapters here at etrailer.com for your boats and your RVs as well as all kinds of other goodies. So check us out. Thanks for watching..
