Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we'll be taking a quick look at the Furrion Power Cord Extension. This is to provide power to your RV from your power source, either shore power or from a generator. So you can plug that up, get all your accessories running as you need to, air conditioning, things that require more power than your onboard batteries can give you typically. So this will allow you to make that connection and it gives you a pretty nice extension out. It does measure about 30' long, so even if you're a good distance away, you should be able to make that connection pretty easily.To take a closer look at those connections.
The part that's actually going to plug into our power source has a 90 degree angle to it that helps prevent any leverage on the cord. So it shouldn't cause any damage to those times or to the plug that it's going into. So that keeps it working well for a long time. There's a couple of little LEDs at the top. So whenever you plug that in you, those should light up and let you know that you have connection, or you have power.
And then at the other end, we'll have our connection going to our RV. Does have a locking threaded ring here, so that's going to give you a nice, tight, secure connection into your RV. Does go on the outside plug, has that kind of three time or three-prong design should lock into place to prevent it from coming out. And again, with that threaded on ring, it should stay nice and tight without any issues.This is a 50-Amp cord. The voltage rating is 125/250 volts, and has a five-year warranty.
It's a nice marine-grade construction, so it's heavy-duty, should last you a long time. And that's about all there is to it for our look at the Furrion RV Power Cord Extension. Purchased a 50 amp power cord a year ago and it has preformrd as expected, great. would purchase agasin if needed.
