Installation

Clamp Examples

Installing these bed-mounted camper tie-downs is simple. First, attach the T-bolts to the bottom interior portion of each tie-down. Place each tie-down on the rail of your truck so that the straight side faces the interior of your bed and the angled side faces the exterior. Adjust the T-bolts until each tie-down sits square on the rail. Then attach the clamp plates to secure the tie-downs to the rails. To do this, position the clamp plate beneath the lip of the side rail so that the lip is between the plate and the straight side of the tie-down. Then insert a carriage bolt on either side of the setup and tighten the nuts on the bolts until the tie-down is securely clamped onto the lip of your bed side rail.

Securing your Camper

Camper w TieDowns

In order to secure your camper to your truck bed, these tie-downs will need to be used in conjunction with a tie-down hardware package consisting of turnbuckles, S-hooks, and chains (TDHP - sold separately). This hardware attaches to the anchors on your camper and to the tie-downs on your truck to keep your camper secure. Once you tighten the turnbuckles appropriately, you will be ready to haul your camper.

Just put on mt 2019 Ram 2500. 762802

Have used these on my pickup camper multiple times now. They are not complicated but a little bit tough to install. A ratcheting wrench helps make install easier. Also make sure to position them where you want them in advance because at least with my pickup camper, once you put it on it is tough to reach these to move them. These are a much cheaper option than the frame mount and seem plenty stable for my pop up pickup camper, not sure about a heavier hard sided. 868475

Just installed my truck bed mounts. I have a 2002 f350 dully with the 7.3 and 4x4. Easy installation (just about 15 minutes) with no help. Mounts are very heavy duty and well made. USA product. I mounted my lance slide on camper 3,600 pounds. The mounts hold great. I took it for a test run and all was well. I’ll be taking it on the beach this weekend and I have no doubt it will be more then stable. Thank you all for building such a great product and especially making it in our great country. God bless. 801922

It works great for the smaller campers. I wouldn't use them for like a big camper one that is oversized but yeah it works good for what I need. I just haul the camper back and forth from hunting to back home 735504

The nuts in the body to lock the stand off are not welded just pessed in the hole. How will that work? 716649

Comments
I reached out to Brophy with your concerns. They assured me that this is how the tie-downs are designed. My contact says, I have double checked with our Production Manager and he said that they are not ever welded. The amount of pressure that it takes to the nut into the hole, holds it in the hole without fail. Please reassure your customer that is the way they are designed and he will not have any problems with the nut coming loose.

Comments
I reached out to my contacts Brophy and the turnbuckles are adjustable so it may be possible for your camper to shift slightly. The stake pocket tie downs should be positioned so that the turnbuckles pull slightly forward. It sounds like you were able to get everything adjusted properly.

  • Camper Tie Downs for 2000 Ford Super Duty
There are several different types of tie downs, bed mounted, bumper mounted and frame mounted. For you 2000 Ford Super Duty I recommend frame mounted tie downs, they provide the strongest base for securing your camper. Since the attachment points are on the frame, which is lower than the bed, it distributes the weight better and gives you better handling and a more stable rig. The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Front # TLF2007 and Rear # TLF3001 are a great example. The...

You can use the Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSAB for your 2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty but we actually recommend going with the Camper Tie-Downs # HSSF instead as they have a slightly different design that better fits your Super Duty. Attached are dimensional photos of each for you to reference with your application. You will notice that one, part # HSAB, has an extra bend towards the end where you attach your tie-downs.
