Today we're going to be reviewing part number CAM55168. This is the Camco PowerGrip RV Power Cord Adapter. It's going to feature a 50 amp female end and 15 amp male end. The 125 volt power cord adapter is going to let you convert your RV's plug, that way it'll work with the electrical hookup at an RV park. The 50 amp female end is going to connect to your 50 amp power plug on your RV and then the 15 amp male end is going to plug into a 15 amp receptacle. On the female connector, it's going to feature a built in handle that's going to make unplugging very simple and easy. The connectors, both the female and the male end, are a nice bright yellow color, so they're going to be very easy to see even in low-light conditions.
If we take a look at the overall length, measuring from end to end, it's going to give us a measurement of about 13 and one-quarter of inch. Then the actually wires are going to be protected by this black casing here. It is flexible, so that way you do have a little bit of flexibility with this adapter and that is weather resistant, so the wires are going to be fully protected inside that casing. Very handy. We use it at home to plug in, keeping the battery charged up at all times. (We have a high quality charger that does the job right. Not all do!) It also enables us to run one of the A/C units so we can stay cool while loading up and prepping for a trip.

I needed this for use with my generator. We work as Camp Hosts in a National Forest. We are in a remote location, so this was exactly what I needed to power my 50 amp trailer hookup to a 25 foot 10 gauge on my generator. It worked perfectly!
It is nice being able to plug in the camper at my house. I've had problems in the past with using a cheater. That went from 50 amp 30 amp to 15 amp. Now I can go from 50 amp straight to 15 amp to just plug into the house.
Easy to connect/disconnect & works great for departure prep and systems check at the house.

We still use it all the time at home, and its never given us any problem at all. Have also used it a couple of times on the road, where there was only 30A plug and or a GFCI 15A circuit so we could not use the 30+15 dogbone.
