Surface-mount RV lights install using pre-drilled mounting holes in the housing. These lights lay flat against the RV surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware (not included) is used to secure the light to the RV.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a LED Security or Utility light for your RV. It's a really nice design, I have it hooked up to power, so the first thing I want to do is go ahead and show you what it looks like with power running to it.Turn off the overhead lights. You can see here, it sends out a nice bright consistent signal. Right here is our lens area, plenty of light is coming through that. That's a clear lens design, and internally, we have multiple diodes or multiple LEDs. The multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output.
This is a LED system, and the LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments.Now again, this unit features a really nice clear lens with white LEDs and a nice white base, it gives it a very clean look. It's a surface mount installation, so it mounts directly on the surface of your RV. You have mount holes right here, and then the other two mount holes are hidden behind the lens area.
The lens is just clipped into place, so you can easily remove that and gain access to those mount holes for your installation. Mounting hardware not included.It is a two-wire design, black wire is our power wire, white wire is the ground wire. When it comes to the dimensions of the unit, measuring edge to edge going this direction, we get a measurement of 8 inches. Edge to edge going this direction, we get a measurement of about 9 and 1/8th inches. I did take the measurements of the mount hole separation, and so the distance we have between these two mount holes center on center is about 5 and 5/8th inches.
Between these holes, center on center, it's 5 inches. Then going this direction, just straight up and down, center on center, we get a measurement of about 5 and 1/8th inches.That's going to do it for today's look at the LED Security or Utility light for your RV.

light was great and updated the look of coach, but description lacked, I had to have a frame made because it is not round but oval. After metal fabrication and painting it looked awesome.

Brighter than expected
These lights are awesome! I upgraded my camper with these, they’re super bright and draw way less power than my old incandescent ones! A big improvement & I highly recommend them!!

At 1st I was leary of the size of this, but in the end it worked out fine. It covered, after caulking, the old holes without trouble; new holes were needed anyway. This light is brighter and better focused to the ground than the incandescent previous light. Easy installation as well; only drawback, it doesn't come with screws (or wire nuts), for $XX+ I would think they would be included. It didn't stop my installation since I had some extra from another project, the old screws were rusted badly.
