The 3-ply SFS AquaShed top panel reduces moisture buildup that can damage your van over time. It also beads water when it rains to stop it from pooling or freezing, which eliminate the black streaks and corrosion you tend to see on the sides and roof of your van. And when the rain stops, the fabric dries quickly to minimize the development of mold and mildew. The top panel blocks the roof of your van from mild sunlight as well, protecting the cover from cracking and fading.
How to Measure Your Class B Camper Van
To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your van from the front bumper to the rear bumper. Make sure you're accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back, but not the hitch. Then measure the overall height from the ground to the top of the van. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.
Securing the Cover onto Your Camper Van
The included ladder cap helps prevent the cover from splitting on that area of the van so install it first. Then unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your van, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. Once the cover is in place, wrap the elasticized hem on the cover around the bottom corners of your van to remove any excess slack in the material. Thread the included cinch rope through the built-in grommets on the cover and pull on them until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your van. And then toss the weighted straps underneath your van to the other side and buckle them together, which keeps the cover secure and prevents it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

That is great to hear, and it looks great on the Thor! I am glad you were able to get it on yourself with the help of our video. I agree the weights add a sense of ease to the install. What area do you have the Thor in, does it have some gnarly winters?

I am glad it fit well, and I am sure it will keep that GulfStream protected. I always like to suggest if possible making sure to park somewhere that will get the least amount of wind. That always helps with longevity if possible.

I like the cover and the fit. Installing can be a bit precarious so take your time and be safe. I would warn others to thoroughly inspect their trailer prior to installing to protect against “all” possible tear locations such as ladder rungs, solar panel corners, AC cover corners, antennas, etc. and protect them from wear. During the first use approx. 4 months I developed 3 or 4 wear tears due to wind and weather. We’ll be repairing the tears and reinforcing those areas along with strategically placed “pool noodles” and foam pipe insulation in those spots that might wear through. Previous covers I’d purchased had a thicker white top that really helped with this issue but apparently is no longer available through e-Trailer. I would now rate this cover at 3.5 and will probably be looking into a more substantial cover.
