Upgrade your RV's AC with this unit from Advent Air. New R32 refrigerant meets 2025 EPA regulations. Not backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier.

Notes:
Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ADV34QR) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this Advent Air 15,000 BTU black RV air conditioner. Now, this is gonna be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to replace, or upgrade, or even add an air conditioner to your RV. This 15,000 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to quickly and efficiently cool down the inside of your large fifth wheel, Class A motorhome, or toy hauler. And this does use the more energy efficient R32 refrigerant, which meets the 2025 EPA regulations.
So this air conditioner is going to be compatible with ductless or ducted systems, but this is not going to be compatible with Penguin, Fogatti, or Furrion. And so this is just gonna be for the air conditioner unit itself. To fully complete the installation, this will need to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat. So this will not be backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 or earlier because of that new R32 refrigerant. Your air distribution box and your thermostat will all have to be compatible with that new R32 refrigerant.
So if you're looking for the air distribution box and thermostat that's going to be the best fit for your camper or RV, you can find those options here at etrailer.com. If you need any help, don't hesitate to give us a call, 'cause we do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. So this is designed for motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. But I do wanna point out that this has not been approved for use in school buses, food trucks, or enclosed utility trailers, or off-road vehicles because typically the roofs of those types of vehicles are not built with the support needed to handle the weight of an air conditioner system, or there might be too much flex in the roof that could potentially damage the air conditioner unit while you're going down the road. This will be a bolt-on installation, but typically the bolts are gonna be included with the air distribution box that you choose or the one that you already have that will be compatible with the R32 refrigerant.
So this is going to fit roofs from 2 1/2 inches to five inches thick with that standard roof opening size of 14 1/4 inches long by 14 1/4 inches wide. Looking at some measurements here, the overall length from end to end, we're sitting really close to 31 3/16 inches long. The overall width, about 24 7/8 inches wide. The overall height, about 12 13/16 inches tall. The unit itself weighs a little under 70 pounds.
So this AC features a six-blade fan with motor that's going to give you sufficient airflow. The airflow's gonna be right at 500 cubic feet per minute. And this black, hard plastic cover is gonna do a great job of protecting those internal components from water and debris. And as you probably saw, we do have these Phillip head screws. So these are gonna be able to be easily loosened and removed. If you ever need to take the cover off to clean it out or anything like that, then they'll be able to be easily replaced and tightened when you're ready to put that cover back on. But overall, I think it's gonna do a pretty good job of protecting everything. And of course, it's black, so it's gonna match with virtually anything. And I don't know if you're gonna be able to see, but we do have these foam pads here at the bottom that are going to support and cushion this air conditioner on the roof of your RV. So you got those thick foam pads between the base of the AC and the top of your roof. The pan here is metal, and the gasket, this does have a gasket that's going to fit over your roof opening there that's collapsible. So you're not gonna need any sealant or anything because of that gasket. And I wanted to reach in here real quick and give you a view of the wiring harness there, so you see that. Now, additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of this AC unit. For instance, you could pick up a start capacitor that's going to improve the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And you also could pick up an electric heat strip that's gonna help remove the chill on those cold or frosty mornings in your RV. The heat strip is not meant to be a furnace replacement, but as you probably know, it's just there on those, really, those crisp mornings that you don't really need to turn the furnace on, but you just wanna get the chill out of the air. That's what the heat strip's for. So if you're interested in the start capacitor or the heat strip, you can find those options separately on the related product section on this product page, and you can pick those up separately and add it to your order if you so desire. We do also carry this same unit in a 13,500 BTU option or with a white cover, whether it's a 15K or the 13,5K, 13,500 BTU in the white cover as well. So whether it's black or white, or depending on the BTU rating you're looking for, we'll have you covered. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
