Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Coleman Mach Signature Mach 15 15,000-BTU RV Air Conditioner with this Polished Black Cover. Now, at 15,000 BTUs, this is going to give you about 10 to 12% more cooling power than a 13,500-BTU unit, so it's gonna be helpful in those larger RVs and campers that are about 30 feet long and longer. It's gonna be great for campers that have slide-outs, and this is gonna be great for those hot, humid climates where that extra capacity that's going to help keep your RV or camper more comfortable. Now, as you probably know, Coleman has been making RV air conditioning units for quite some time, and this Mach line has a reputation for being both reliable and durable. This is a Signature model, which is basically the more premium version.

They've beefed up the components and added some efficiency to help it run smoother and last longer. Looking at some measurements here, beginning with the length just roughly from front to back, we're sitting pretty close to about 39 inches long, and the overall width, about 28 inches wide. And then this is considered a mid or medium-profile air conditioner, so the height is pretty close to 14 inches tall. And this is going to work on the standard opening size of your camper or RV's roof, 14 1/4-inch by 14 1/4-inch, and this unit weighs about 80 to 85 pounds. So, this is a rooftop unit only.

This is gonna be compatible with your ducted and ductless systems in your camper or RV, but that all of course is determined on the air-distribution box that your camper uses. So, whether your air gets distributed through the vents, that's gonna be a ducted system, or if the air just plunges straight down, that's gonna be a non-ducted system. You're gonna pair this with a compatible Coleman Mach Air Distribution Box and thermostat if needed to complete your cooling setup. Now, I do wanna point out that since this uses the new R32 refrigerant, which is gonna meet the 2025 EPA regulations, this unit will not be backwards-compatible with any air conditioning components or systems from 2024 and earlier. So, you will need to make sure that your air-distribution box, and your thermostat and all other components are compliant with that R32 refrigerant.

So, this Mach Series Signature Series Air Conditioner is designed with a rough casing, a rugged casing rather, and this has heavy-duty construction, so it's going to handle years of use without the usual wear-and-tear issues. And, as you can see, this is a pretty streamlined, aerodynamic-looking cover here, shroud, and so it's going to help reduce drag. And you can see that this is considered a polished unit, so the sides here kinda have a polished look along with the front, and then the top here is more of a matte, textured surface. And it's a softer cover, so I think it's going to handle impacts better than the more rigid or hard cover, so it's slightly different than what I'm used to, but I think it should hold up pretty well for you.

And this does have, I wanted to show you the wiring harness here real quick just to give you a good view of that. So, lemme pull that out from the bottom here, so hopefully you can get a good look at that. Actually, let me drop down to a closer view here. There we go. Just so you can get a good view of that plug there, and then that's gonna plug into your air-distribution box. So, for a powerful unit at 15,000-BTU, Coleman does a nice job of keeping the noise down. This isn't necessarily considered a whisper-quiet unit, but compared to older models or budget brands, this is gonna be noticeably less disruptive, so that means you're gonna be able to sleep, relax, or watch a movie without having to shout over the air conditioner.
