If you're replacing an old tank or tankless water heater, you'll want to pick a water heater with a door that will at least be as large as the current access door on your RV. Be sure to search for the water heater that includes the correct size you need.

Fogatti's tankless hot water heaters are popular for being efficient and quality options, but which model would be best for you? Let me give you a quick summary:
Fogatti 7: Lower Btus and lower flow rate compared to the 8s. This can be a good pick, though, because that means you're using less propane to heat water. If you aren't trying to heat very cold water, and you don't expect that anyone else is going to be using hot water while you're in the shower, then this will be a perfectly fine option, especially if you use low-flow fixtures for conserving water. I'd recommend it for solo campers or couples who almost never camp in cold months.
Fogatti 8 Plus: Higher Btus and flow rate while being the same size as the 7. You'll get slightly better performance, and it will be more effective at heating colder water. The extra flow rate won't necessarily allow you to run both a faucet and a shower at the same time without noticing a difference, since both fixtures can use 2.5 gallons per minute. But if you have a higher-flow shower head, this can keep up better. I'd recommend it if you're likely to camp when it gets chilly overnight and want a little extra performance.
Fogatti 8 Pro: This is the same as the 8 Plus, with the addition of a water mixing tank. This tank adds a few more inches to its depth, but that generally won't be much of an issue, especially if you're replacing a water heater with a tank. I'd recommend it if any variance in water temperature is going to really annoy you.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Fogatti InstaShower eight plus RV tankless water heater with this black metal hinge door. Now, if you are interested in knowing the differences between the InstaShower seven, this eight plus and the eight pro, take a closer look at this product page, the lower portion of this page, and we have provided a really good summary of each of those water heaters for you so you can take a look and see which one is going to work best for your particular application. But as for our eight plus here, this tankless water heater has higher BTUs for more efficiently heating cold water. This 55,000 BTU heater is going to heat 2.9 gallons per minute, which is greater than the average flow of an RV shower.
Now this standard size 15 inch wide by 15 inch tall black metal hinge door with flat lock is going to give you easy access for cleaning or maintenance. And larger sizes are available when replacing a tank water heater with the bigger access door. On your screen I am including the different colors and sizes of doors that are compatible with this eight plus water heater. So if you're looking for either a different color of this same size, 15 by 15, or if you're looking for a larger one, like a 15 by 18 or an 18 by 18, you can just take the appropriate etrailer part number that you see there on your screen, pop it into the search field of our website, and that will take you to that water heater kit with the appropriate door and you can add that to your order. Now, the efficient propane burner is going to heat water only when you use your faucets or shower.
The higher BTUs is gonna make this a great choice in cold weather or for using a lot of hot water at once. The pilot ignition type is automatic. And the wall controller that's included has a digital display that's going to let you adjust the temperature, it's also gonna show diagnostic error codes. And the temperature settings is from 95 degrees to 123 degrees Fahrenheit. The water pressure is 14 and a half to 116 PSI, with the preferred pressure being 40 to 45 PSI.
The internal safety components are going to protect you, your family, and your RV. For instance, this is going to automatically cut off gas if the flame goes out to prevent leaks in your RV. And so let me go ahead and give you some overall dimensions, I already gave you the measurements of the door. Looking at the water heater itself, the overall is about 13 inches wide, it's gonna be 13 inches tall. The depth of just the water heater itself is 13 and 13/16 inches deep.
If you add that door, that's gonna make the depth 14 and 5/16 inches deep. This is going to be a relatively simple installation with the included hardware that you see right here. This is going to use your existing lines and cutout. And a temperature and pressure relief valve are not included with this kit, but they are required for installation. And an additional cutout depth is gonna be needed to make connections. And you're also going to receive an instruction manual to guide you through the installation process and how to make sure you're operating this to the way that it was designed. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
