Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're checking out the Yakima Landing Pad 38. It's a simple but essential component for building that secure and removable roof rack system on your vehicle. Now these landing pads have been designed to work with the Yakima skyline and control towers, and they're gonna give you, once installed, a nice solid vehicle specific mounting point for those crossbars. Now the kit's gonna include the two landing pads that you see here, all the hardware, the sealant and everything needed to get these installed onto the roof line.

And these are made with durable, corrosion resistant materials. They can handle all kinds of weather and road conditions and the daily driving, your weekend adventures, et cetera. Once these are installed, they're gonna create that low profile base that then will let you attach easily or remove it, your roof rack towers rather from these as needed. So it's gonna be perfect for those people that want flexibility. Maybe I don't wanna leave bulky hardware and stuff on my roof all the time.

I can take those things off and just have a nice flush looking OEM thing on top. And installation is pretty straightforward. These are vehicle specific. Again, check the fit guide. They will match up to those factory mounting points, giving you a nice, secure, clean fit on the roof line.

So again, whether you want to carry bikes, kayaks, cargo boxes over landing gear, this landing pad 38's gonna give you a strong, reliable foundation to then build your Yakima Rack system up.
