Light changes how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the sliding door section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid panel in the sliding door of your 2014-2026 Ram ProMaster, any wheelbase. Instead of a blank section along the cargo area, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the side of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The sliding door window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the sliding door panel is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door frame. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the door frame and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the door cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Van Windows Direct Sliding Door Window. This works both with the passenger or the driver's side for a 2014 through current year RAM ProMaster van, any wheel base. Make sure you're checking the Fit Guide here at etrailer just to make sure you're getting the right parts for your specific vehicle as well. Now this is going to be a great option for you if you're starting with that cargo van.
One of the biggest reasons to add a window like this is simply to make that inside space feel less like a cargo box, closed off and bring some light, some brightness and some space into those areas. So this can be especially helpful if you're building out a camper conversion. Maybe you got kitchen seat and those kind of things. Those are usually kind of closer to the front traditionally, so that'll give you an eye level look outside. I tell people it's pretty much the same as having like a pair of shades on from the inside looking out.
The outside looking in, you can see, it does a great job of reflecting light back off. So you can see the studio lights above me today. But from the inside out, you really can't see those bright lights and everything, but you can still see people and objects very, very clear. It is a 17% tint. It's going to do a great job at keeping the glare down and everything.
And also it's going to block about 83% of those UV rays. So from the side, you can see it does fit the contour of either the driver or the passenger side. And then again, from the inside out, you can see through there a lot better now from that angle looking outside. Now this is also a tempered safety glass. That means it meets all SAE and DOT standards, and it's been form matched that factory stamping of the ProMaster sliding doors.
Now that being said, you will need to cut out that metal where this is going to go in place. You're going to need some urethane for the large window in this particular case. And you're probably going to need primer, the caulk gun, securing tape, maybe some other items. We carry all those separately. You're also going to need some kind of saw or diode grinder to cut through that metal. The install guys here recommend a jigsaw, it's gonna give them the most control, kept a nice clean line, and they could stop and start as needed very quickly. If you don't want to tackle the install yourself, no problems. We got an Install Locator link below the product page here, or on the product page rather, below the photos and everything. You can click on that installation link. We can help pair you up based on your zip code with trusted etrailer location install locations around the nation. This is a fixed window, so it's not going to vent or slide up or down or sideways. It's just going to be in place and give you that visible clearance to look outside and enjoy the outdoors. Folks, that's going to wrap up our look together. Again, this is a driver or passenger side Van Windows Direct. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
