Hello, neighbors and friends. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this replacement lock cylinder for your UWS toolboxes, with the square paddle handles. Now this particular one is key to CH509. Now this is gonna replace one damaged lock cylinder on your UWS toolbox, again, with the square paddle handles. It will not work with the drawer slide, dog boxes, T-handle, or push button locks.
So again, only for the square paddle handles. Now again, this uses key CH509. You can see it, zoomed in there, engraved on the key itself, you get one lock core cylinder, the barrel nut, and two keys. So even the lock core itself has that CH509, there you go, engraved on it. So that's what you're looking for when you're ordering a new set of keys or if you wanna change the whole cylinder, you're looking for that key number engrave there.
So again, it has the barrel nut. Spins nice and freely. That's how you install it. And then you simply insert the key. If I can get it the right way here.
There we go. And then that will turn the mechanism itself to lock it. So very simple product. Again, one lock cylinder, two keys is what you're getting here. Key to CH509.

Locks looked great and matched up with the ones I had. Locks however did not come with the nuts pictured, but I was able to use the existing ones over.
I was stunned to find the replacement lock, cylinder and keys. This was for a UWS toolbox that was on a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT that I purchased. The one that was in it would work - sometimes - but not always. The toolbox itself was in good shape but my best guess was that moisture had damaged the lock. I searched locally but could find nothing locally. I looked online and found this vendor and placed the order. It was EXTREMELY reasonable and arrived almost instantly. I am absolutely delighted! As far as I am concerned, getting parts when you need them is a service of the past. This is an exception!!!!
I ordered 2 for replacement of one that fell out. The barrel nut was not attached. I contacted etrailer and they made it right within a very short period of time. I would definitely recommend etrailer to anyone for their trailer repair needs.
Great to find a quick replacement lock for my 13 year old toolbox that was otherwise in great shape. Appreciate the quick ship and affordable price.

I have 2 trucks with 3 tool boxes on each, and a whole bunch of keys. I have always wanted the boxes to be keyed alike. etrailer.com's web site is easy to navigate and order from for the replacement locks so all my boxes are now keyed alike. The locks were a perfect fit. Happy

Was a direct replacement perfect fit. Had to remove handle assembly, drill out rivets, replace lock and rivet assembly back in place.
