Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at Thule replacement key. Now, this is going to replace a missing or damaged Thule key for your Thule racks and carriers. As you can see engraved on this key, this is key number N170. So to confirm the key number, you do wanna check your lock cylinder that you're needing a key for just to confirm that number.
But this key is directly from Thule, so you can trust that this is going to work just like your original key number N170. I needed a replacement key for my Thule bike rack. The key provided by etrailer was a perfect fit and match.
I bought a used cargo box and didn't get the keys when I bought it. It had no name or identification as to brand but the locks were stamped with just the number "170". So I took a chance that a replacement key from etrailer would work. Pretty excited, the key arrived today and worked perfectly. Thanks etrailer!!! I now have a locking cargo box.
I needed a key to a Thule bike rack that a friend gave me, so I googled where to buy and etrailer came up. I called and the guy who answered the phone knew exactly what I needed and the price. It was shipped out and received within a week, so the service was great.

I am disappointed that there is no replacement key for older R series lock cores, such as R170 that my roof rack uses. The N170 replacement key does not work with this lock.
Disregard the shape of the key. My key had a square head in this. He had a small round head, but it fit perfectly. The picture may also not depict the shape of the actual key cut for obvious security reasons. I Drove to Florida without my key so my rack was locked to the trailer hitch and my bikes were locked to the rack. I didn’t want to cut the cable so I ordered this and it came a day early. It fits perfectly.
