Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Roadmaster Repair Kit for Falcon tow bars. This repair kit is going to include all the components that you see here laid out on my table that will help to fix an older model Roadmaster Falcon tow bar. They do include instructions to walk you through that installation process. So for whichever components you're needing to replace, this is going to do a great job.

Because this is a direct replacement from Roadmaster, you can trust all these components are going to work with your Falcon tow bar. I used this kit to rebuild our Roadmaster Falcon tow bar. All the parts were of good quality and fit just fine. The bar is ready for many more miles of towing.

My Roadmaster Falcon tow bar continued to operate without any issues after using the rebuild kit. Ended up selling the motorhome which included the tow bar kit. Since the tow bar was well constructed, it was nice being able to replace the parts that tended to wear with use. Certainly extended the useful life of the tow bar.

Trans Canada trip plus Alaska and tow bar functioning perfectly!

We bought a used RV.
It had a an old Roadmaster 5250 tow bar. It needed the complete rebuild kit which was not in stock. The reps(I talked with several as I didn't know what to ask the first one) were all helpful and courteous. They found two separate kits which make up the complete kit so I got what I needed. They actually had Roadmaster drop ship one of the kits to me directly.
I also needed the Quick Disconnect bar kit for the 5250. They helped with that also. They also had the 5250 release tool.
They even had the cover for the old Falcon so when I recondition and paint the old bar it will look and stay as new.
Great folks to deal with.
They are close enough in price to the big "A" so the extra couple of bucks is worth it for the expert advice.

I bought a used Roadmaster tow bar, it wasn't in bad shape, but for peace of mind I purchased and installed this rebuild kit. Tow bar works and looks like new.

The Falcon towbar repair kit arrived quickly. I did the disassembly and reassembly of the towbar components by myself. The towbar had several years of use, and the washers were getting thin and brittle. The parts in the kit fit perfectly. Another set of hands would have been helpful for the reassembly, while trying to hold all the components together, and lined up.

Parts were a perfect fit and the instructions were very good. This is not an easy job as the two 1/2" bolts that hold the large washers are very difficult to remove, by design. You don't want these coming loose on their own. With a good set of tools, you can prevail. I used a benzene-based cleaning fluid and paper towel to remove the old bumper adhesive. I'm sure the new ones will be on there for keeps.

    Have you tried cleaning and lubing the arms yet? Here's how to do that in case not: I contacted Roadmaster about instructions on cleaning their tow bars. Our contact at Roadmaster informed me that you will want to start by soaking the arms with a degreaser. Then, you will want to move the arms in and out and rinse off with water.     There are a couple of options you can do to attempt to free up the arms on your Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522. What you can do is try and spray the arms with a degreaser, then move the arms in and out and rise with some water.     The easiest way to tell would be for you to check out the pictures I attached. If your tow bar looks like the one in the black and white picture you have an older model Falcon Tow Bar. If it looks like the one in the color picture you have a newer model. If you have an older model you would want the # RM910003-52 as a repair kit.     I think you might have meant the Falcon 5250 tow bar. The complete repair kit is # RM-910003-55. This kit contains the components to replace the Falcon 5250 shoulder bolts, bushings, washers and end caps and also contains the components to replace the inner and outer tow bar arm bushings and Autowlok button assemblies. For the Autowlok repair kit only use # RM-910003-50. And if you just need shoulder bolts, bushings, washers, and end plugs use # RM910003-52.
