Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this replacement Universal Ignition, DC Furnace Control Board for your Atwood Hydro Flame furnaces. So, this is basically the brains of your RV furnace. So, if your furnace isn't starting or it's not staying lit, there's a good chance that the ignition control board is the issue, and this is a direct replacement for that. This is made by Dometic as an OEM replacement.
So, it is designed to work specifically with Atwood Hydro Flame Furnaces, including the 7900, 8000, 8500, 8900 series you see there on your screen. So, what that means for you is you're not dealing with a universal work around. This is meant to fit and function just like the original. Now, what this actually does is handle the startup process. When your furnace kicks on, this board sends the signal to open the gas valve, and it creates the spark that lights the burner.
After that, it keeps everything running smoothly, including managing the fan. This runs on a 12-volt DC system, which is standard for RVs, and it even has a built-in fan control.
