Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Andersen Replacement Adjustment Shank for your 2 1/2-inch Receiver. Now, this replacement shank is designed to restore your Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch without replacing the entire system. This is going to slide directly into any standard 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is going to be compatible with the Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch models, as well as the Andersen EZ HD combo ball setup. This is built for heavy-duty towing.
It has a maximum gross towing weight of 16,000 pounds and a 1,500-pound tongue weight capacity. And this is going to give you up to about a 4-inch drop in this orientation, or when you flip this over, up to about a 4-inch rise, making this very easy to level your trailer for improved towing performance and handling. So this is gonna be just for the shank, exactly what you see here. So no hitch head or hardware or other components. But this is going to be the direct replacement from Andersen so you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues or anything like that.
