  • MB Sturgis

Hook up an auxiliary tank to your RV to provide propane in case your primary runs dry during long campouts and get extra versatility in your propane system. Provides you with a quick-disconnect propane outlet for cooking without disposable cylinders.

Features:

  • T-fitting lets you connect a backup auxiliary cylinder to your RV's propane system
    • No need to break up camp to go refill your onboard ASME tank
  • POL fittings install in-line between your tank valve and pigtail to your pressure regulator
  • 2 Model 250 quick-disconnect ports let you hook up and disconnect without hand tightening
    • When valve on your ASME tank is closed, one port can function as an inlet for an auxiliary tank
    • When valve on your tank is open, can provide propane to 2 appliances
  • Shut-off levers on quick-disconnect ports allow you to easily shut off gas supply
    • Ball valve prevents disconnection when lever is in the "on" position to keep gas contained
  • Durable brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • UL and CSA certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 350 F
  • Maximum pressure rating: 250 psi
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: When using the Sturgi-Stay ports for cooking, bear in mind that the propane pressure is still high, as the Sturgi-Stay is installed before the regulator. Outdoor cooktops, grills, or other appliances will often require a regulator. Check your equipment to see if one is required.

Fitting Diagram

Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your RV once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane tank, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using a quick-disconnect fill hose (sold separately). As a result, you can run your appliances from the propane in your cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your RV's tank. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.

Quick Disconnect Ports

QDs

The Sturgi-Stay features 2 quick-disconnect ports. The first port connects to the hose from the auxiliary cylinder. The other port provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder.

Both quick-disconnect ports let you connect and disconnect hoses without any tools. Simply snap the quick-disconnect hoses (sold separately) into the ports and they will stay locked in until you release them. To remove the hoses, just pull back on the collars of the ports. The ports also feature gas shut-off levers that allow you to completely cut off the propane supply to that port to keep gas contained when no hose is attached. Be sure to move the lever to the "off" position before disconnecting the hose.

Happy to receive these as they have been out of stock everywhere!
Thank you for communicating with me!

Installed adapter on my propane system so as to use for my grill. Has worked great and would recommend.

by:

All 4 way extened stay valves are the same this is good quality however they are all of a poor desighn. The threaded connection for the stand alone tank should have a shut off valve behind thr threaded connection so you can attatch and unhook the hise without loosing gas. I looked at this then asembled my own T using amazon fittings and a cut off valve. Sturistay is High quality parts just a universal poor set up.This all can be put together with a simple T connected to the regulator then T off to a shut off valve then to the hose connector.

Made with good quality materials. Easy to install. No leaks. Good deal for the price paid.

Hey Rick. What kind of accessories are you going to use with the T when you go camping?

by:

Have not used this one yet, however, I installed one on my last rig and it worked perfect as it is suppose to. Installation 5 minutes at most, checked no leaks.

Good quality fitting. Would recommend

I purchased this Sturgis fitting after trying another cheaper brand I found on a major online store. It was a waste of money and leaked from seals and connections from day one. The Sturgis, on the other hand, worked immediately and has been operating flawlessly since day one! Don't spend good money on cheap imitations. Buy good and buy once.

Every connection had a leak and 1 quick connect was bad. Took it apart and replced everything with yellow tape and plugged one quick connect off. Just buy the parts and build your own.

Hey Ziyad. With this type of tee, you wouldn't want to use yellow tape. If you had leaking from the get go, it sounds like it would be more of a bad o-ring. I am going to have a replacement sent out to you along with return information so you can get the defective tee back to us.

The product works well, easy connect and disconnect for exterior appliances.

by:

Such a brilliant solution for older trailers that don't have a quick connect LP port and allows two accessories like a grill and fire pit at the same time. Worked perfectly on our 1968 Airstream.

by:

Seemed like the easiest way to get dual extra output (Buddy heater and grill).
Works fine.

What I like about this tee compared to other tees on the market is that it has quick disconnects instead of dedicated fittings.
Depending on the hose I use, I can connect one or two external LP tanks - for that extended park, without having to move the coach to get the tank refilled.
Or, I can connect an external appliance, like my portable LP grille, when I'm on a camping trip.
And I don't have to leave the hose attached to the tee where it might accidentally fall down and drag on the ground. When I roll I can just detach the hose and stow it in the basement.
Word to the wise - there's not much room in the LP tank space, SO I recommend getting the hose you want with a 1/4" MPT on the end that you'd want to connect to the tee, plus a Sturgis male quick connect fitting that also has 1/4" MPT. Connect the two together with a regular 1/4" FPT 90 degree elbow. That allows connecting the hose in a tight space.

My RV sits for long periods. This part keeps my LP going by allowing attaching an external portable LP tank. It enabled us to use our RV kitchen while we remodelled our home kitchen.

Very pleased with the propane hose and fittings I have received from etrailer. The quality of the items seems excellent. The price was very competitive and the items were delivered exactly when they said that they would be. I will be installing these items on my motor home so that I can hook up a B.B.Q. and a campstove.Very happy with the products and service received from etrailer and would feel very confident recommending this site to anyone.

This is my second purchase of this product. The valve works as designed and saves a trip to fill the on board propane tank in the Motorhome. It is easy to install. I am planning on using this one with a Webber grill with a built in regulator. Highly recommend if your interested in using portable tanks(easy refill) with a fixed or built in propane tank.

The Sturgi-Stay T fitting is working perfectly. I used the value to add a portable tank during the freezing temps, which saved the fuel in the onboard tank and doesn’t require moving the RV to refill. While camping I connect the grill with the value and there is no need for any additional propane tank. Saves alot of cargo space This is the best option to add to any RV.

by:

Great product. Easy install, seems very solid

by:

I ordered this to save money on the 1 lb green tanks. Well it worked great for the first 10 months! It leaks around the on and off valves!! So I removed it before we had a bigger issue as this was connected to my propane tank under my Class A Motorhome.

It is unusual for the fitting to leak however it does have a 1-year warranty. I can send the warranty instructions if you are interested.

by:

I've had these on my other RVs. Be careful and check for leaks, usualy around the valve stems. They claim they are rated up to 250psi but the fittings are marked at only 1/2psi. Whats up with that?

  • How to Connect Weber Traveler Grill to RV Quick-Disconnect Fitting
You'll be able to connect your Weber Traveler Grill directly to that quick-disconnect fitting using a hose like the MB Sturgis # 100476-120-MBS as long as your grill doesn't have a regulator. If it does have a regulator then you need a tee fitting like part # 103537-MBS so you can tie into the propane before the regulator. If you were to run your grill through 2 regulators then the pressure would be too low and the grill wouldn't run properly. Attached is a helpful article that goes over...

Hey Thomas, Since you have a motorhome you should have a large ASME tank. You'll want to go to the connection at the tank and see if you have a tee like the # 103537-MBS. If not you can pick one up and get it installed inline at the tank. Depending on which tee you go with you'll need a hose with a compatible connector for the tee and to the other tank.
