Question:
Greetings! I have a 2000 Eurovan Winnebago Camper and would like to tap into my propane system ahead of the regulator so I can run an auxiliary fire pit and probably other items like a table-top BBQ or Coleman campstove. I assume that I need a 3-port tee, as I wouldnt ever need the fourth port to fill the RV tank. Id prefer quick connect fittings, as my wife uses the camper by herself. I think what I need is: 3-Port Tee Adapter to connect to fire pit it normally attaches to a BBQ tank Adapter to connect to items that use small green cannisters 12-ft hose qiuick connect fittings Im hoping that you can help me the appropriate items to order to achieve my objectives. thanks!

Hi Daniel; it sounds like you need the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103537-MBS. This installs in-line and gives you 2 QD ports for your fire pit and other accessories. However, I don't have any 12' hoses that are going to allow for all of the connections. The Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 37207-31235 is 12' long and will plug into the T-fitting giving you a female QD at the other end to attach to. You could use the 10' # 100476-120-MBS to run to a disposable cylinder port which is the longest we have in this style. We don't actually have a hose that runs male QD to male Type 1 or an adapter that would allow you to connect them so you would have to source that locally for the fireplace.

Hi Robin - thank you for the advice. The two quick connect fittings are pretty long and may snag something since they would extend beyond the protective barrier under my valve. I also don't believe I'll need to serve more than one appliance at a time, so a single connection should suffice. Please let me know of there may be another option with just one connection that is shorter (even if not quick connect). thanks.
