Video Transcript for Detailed Breakdown of the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Camco vertical two stage propane regulator. This propane regulator maintains a constant gas pressure from your camper's propane tank, two stages. It ensures a smooth consistent flow of gas. It does feature a vertical mount design. It does come with a couple mounting screws and, in the instructions on the packaging, it does come with an insulation template. The inlet on the back, it's all going to be labeled. You have your outlet and your inlet.

The inlet has a quarter inch NPT connector. The outlet has a three-eighth inch NPT connector. This is going to maintain a constant 11-inch WC, or water column, propan pressure. It's rated for 160,000 BTUs per hour. It is CSA listed.

Keep in mind that the vent opening should always face downward. If we take a look at the overall length, measuring from edge to edge, I guess the overall height since it's a vertical mount, it's going to measure about six inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the Camco vertical two stage propane regulator.

So far, so good. Lasts longer than the switchable versions which fail after a year of above average use. Manually have to switch tanks but, better than replacing it every season.

by:

The regulator worked as expected. The old issue I had was the mounting screw holes which in my case hold a plastic cover where off at one end. Was easy to fix buy using the template printed on the package to drill a hole in my cover.

by:

It was almost a perfect replacement for the old one on my 1967 camper! The unit was very close in size to the old one and I was able mount it on the bracket using the same hole and bolts.

The best part is that it worked! It was nice to have a working stove and heater!

Thanks so much for all your help.

Everything is working great! Thanks so much for the help in ing these tanks for my vintage trailer!

by:

I believe the regulator i bought is either defective OR there is something else going on with my propane system. It worked GREAT right after changing out the old regulator, then after a few months it stopped working, all at once. When the old one went out, it would sporadically work, sort of. This time, BAM, no propane to ANY of my appliances. Stove, furnace and water heater. I'm a "full timer" with a 50+ hour a week job, so I'm still trying to troubleshoot my way through the system. If I can rule out the new regulator as the culprit, I'll up my rating to five stars, no problem.

According to Camco, the regulator is faulty and should be replaced. The regulator is covered by a 1 year warranty.

Regulator works as expected. Used hole drilling template to drill mounting holes. Regulator only cam with 2 out of the 4 needed m4 screws. Had to make a Lowe's run for some more. So far do good.

Working just fine.

Works well , was in good shape upon arrival . Shipped in the time it was supposed to. Exactly the same as the original on the camper. ETRAILER.com provides an extensive amount of information in general, which helps to find the correct part. I like ETRAILER.com so much that I recommended you to a brother and he bought 4 tires and wheels for his boat trailer.

Very pleased

by:

I am glad I came upon this site. The staff is friendly courteous and helpful.

Since I live in Canada it is a big problem if I had to send items back across the border to etrailer if the items were not what I thought they were. The short videos that etrailer provides with each product is extremely helpful in determining to purchase or not. Thank you for that feature. Knowing a little about video production and the costs associated with that, it must cost etrailer a pile to give us (the consumers) what appears to be a simple addition on their site

Thanks again guys/gals

Fit right in place, easy install, and the parts came quick

by:

The products we ordered are exactly what we needed and the price was very acceptable. We ordered two hoses to attach to the LP Regulator, we ordered. One hose was incorrect, (our fault) and this company was so easy to contact and replied with paper work for returning hose. I am so impressed with the staff at eTrailer and the speed with their response. I will certainly be using them again and recommend them to all.
Thank you George, Kirstin and Robert S.

by:

Had to replace it at start of season, we found out it didn’t work when the heater didn’t turn in and it snowed. This was the second one on the camper. Bought a another brand at camping world and is work.

by:

nothing but problems. I was replacing a noisy old regulator and this one never worked correctly. I ended up throwing it away and bought a different one from [hardware store].

by:

Regulator arrive quickly and with template and mounting screws.

by:

The regulator came in the mail Saturday. I was pleased it shipped that quickly. I did not realize I would need to change the inlet fitting to a smaller size. I suppose that is the new standard now. All and all it was great. I would by again. The product list the size when I ordered. I should have checked my parts as well. Thank you for good service.

by:

was delivered on time just like everything I have ordered before. Package was a little beat up but item worked great. Lots of pressure now. problem solved. Would buy again

by:

  • Replacement LP Regulator For Marshall 605H Regulator
Thanks for the picture! To replace your Marshal 605H propane regulator you will need to go with the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59313. This will be an exact replacement for your current regulator. I included a video review of the # CAM59313 for you to take a look at.

  • Replacement for Marshall Model 260 Propane Regulator
I have exactly what you need. There is nothing special about the Marshall Model 260 Propane Regulator so you can use pretty much any dual stage regulator. I recommend either the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator Part # 108220 or the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator Part # CAM59313. They will both work as an exact replacement for you, there isn't any need to replace it with another Marshall.

Hey Kevin, to replace your Marshall 290-1 regulator you can use the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator w/ P.O.L # CAM59333 or you can use the # CAM59313 for a vertical regulator replacement. Both of these regulators are 2 stage, rated for 160,000 Btus, and maintains a constant 11" w.c propane pressure.

The replacement we have for your Marshall 230 Model Gas Regulator is the Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59313. If yours is still working fine I wouldn't recommend messing with it unless you are going to replace it altogether. Either way I can't advise you to use your regulator in a way that's not intended.

  • Replacement Low Pressure Propane Regulator Needed for a 1995 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper
We do have a selection of low pressure propane regulators which have been linked for you to filter through, but since manufacturers don't tend to keep those kinds of records and something could have been modified on your older 1995 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper it would be better for you to compare what we have with what you are needing. If you just need a Single Stage Propane Regulator then our most popular option is the Camco # CAM59013 which is rated for 200,000 Btu/hr, and has a 1/4" female...

  • Can a Dual Propane Tank Regular be Used with Just One Tank
Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 has a valve on top that will automatically switch to a full tank so you could use it with one tank and it would just always be open to that tank. But if you will always be using one tank we have 2-stage regulators # CAM59313, # CAM59323, or # CAM59333 for a single propane source and they would be more ideal than the dual tank option.

  • Recommended Replacement For A Marshall Brass Co, Model 230 605H LP Regulator
We don't carry the Marshall line of regulators but you can replace your Marshall 230 - 605H regulator with the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59313. From what I can find on the 605H it appears to be a dual stage vertical venting regulator so the # CAM59313 would be the appropriate replacement.

  • Do I Need a Horizontal or Vertical Replacement 2-Stage Propane Regulator for My Marshall 260?
In order for a vertical and horizontal regulator to "breathe" and function properly, the vent opening must be pointed down. The writing on your Marshall 260 warns you about this at the bottom of of the etching. If your regulator is mounted horizontally and the vent is mounted vertically, you have a horizontal regulator. On a horizontal regulator like the # 108221, that vent will be vertically pointing down. This is explained at timestamp :34 of the attached video. For a replacement horizontal...

The Marshall 290 model regulator is a standard vertical 2-stage regulator, unlike the horizontal Marshall 260 and Camco # CAM59333 that you mentioned. This means to replace your Marshal 290 you will want the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Regulator # CAM59313 instead. In terms of function and application this is essentially a direct replacement.
