Today, on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test-fitting the Convert-A-Ball Cushion adjustable pintle mounting bar for two-inch hitches rated at 10,000 pounds. This is part number AMPC2. Now, this eight-hole mounting bar lets you adjust the pintle height to level your trailer. Its cushion shank protects your equipment and smooths your ride. Now, before we test-fit our pintle mount, we need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this, we'll measure from the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground.
On this truck, that measurement is 19 inches. Now, keep in mind that measurement can vary due to hitch style, tire size, or any other accessory that may affect your vehicle's right height, so its a good idea to measure yours. We'll now simply slide the shank of the pintle mount into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our hitch pin. We'll then put the clip on the other side securing the pintle mount to the vehicle. Now, in its lowest position, the two holes for mounting the pintle will measure 13 and 3/4 inches.
In its full-rise position, the two holes for mounting the pintle measures 22 and 1/2 inches. Now, the holes are drilled 1 3/4 inches apart from top to bottom and 3 3/8 inches apart from left to right. That will complete our test of the Convert-A-Ball cushion adjustable pintle mounting bar for 2-inch hitches, rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMPC2, on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.

Seems to be adequate. Gave it a lower grade because it does not have a permanent marking/stamp listing weight limit, just a sticker, which will eventually fall off...

Product's shaft edges are so rounded it slaps around in my receiver quite a bit, I hope it works better with a trailer attached.

This is my second pintle mount from Conver-A-Ball I bent the first one when my pintle hook bound on the ring of my trailer. The first lasted for many years, and hopefully this replacement will too.
I absolutely love this hitch!!! I regularly tow 9-10,000lbs total load (tractor and trailer). Pintle are great but noisy and tend to slam and transfer that shock to the truck. I ran a ball style of this hitch years ago and noticed a difference with that so figured I would give this a shot. I don't notice or feel any more slamming while coming to a stop or taking off! What a major comfort improvement over the rigid hitch. My only complaint, seeing as I live in New England with salty roads is that the actual sliding block inside the hitch is bare metal. It's rusting up and froze my pin inside it. Got the pin out with a air hammer and patience but now am going to soak it down. I've only owned this for a year and that's the only complaint I have

Can't give a full review haven't tested it so I don't know how well I actually like it, but it looks really nice the welding on the back looks flawless! Only did four stars because I haven't tested the cushioning part yet.
