Now, folks, this Pintle Hook Combo and Ball will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The Pintle Hook Combo connects to a 2 1/2 or three inch pintle hook or lunette ring. You simply do that by taking out the safety latch pin here, pull that out, pull up here on the ears, and this will just open up for you like that, and then, again, the 2 5/16 inch ball.
This is rated for a gross trailer weight of 16,000 pounds or a tongue weight of 3,000 pounds, and then when you get your lunette ring on, you simply push it back down, put the safety pin back through it to ensure that it's not going anywhere while you're on the road. They give you the included mounting hardware that's gonna match up to your standard 3 3/8 on center by 1 3/4 inch on center bolt pattern.
