If you want something that can keep you warm and cook your food at the same time, this is it. It puts out serious heat all around you while giving you a solid spot to cook, and it still packs down small enough to bring along anywhere.
When your pan is hot but the heater is off to the side, you end up working in the cold while cooking. This unit combines 48,000 Btu heat output with a cooking pedestal, so the heat source and cook surface stay in the same place. You can cook directly on the unit while the heat stays around your work area, so you keep cooking instead of stepping away from the pan to warm up.
Side-facing heat leaves one part of your setup warm and the rest exposed. This heater stove uses 360-degree heat distribution similar to a patio heater, so warmth radiates around the unit instead of pushing in one direction. You stay in the working area around the cooktop, and the cold spots around your setup do not force you to keep repositioning.
Small burners and cramped supports limit what you can cook outside. The cooking pedestal design supports large pans directly on the unit, giving you a solid place to cook instead of balancing cookware on a separate setup. You can keep a larger pan over the heat source and keep food moving without shifting to another stove.
Propane gear gets annoying fast when the hookup takes tools or extra steps. This unit uses a toolless regulator hose with a QuickClick connection, and the built-in ignition starts it without external tools. You connect the hose, light the unit, and start heating or cooking without digging through gear for extra hardware.
Bulky gear takes up room, and fixed setups lock you into one way of using it. This heater stove collapses for transport and storage, and it can be used with adjustable legs and cast-iron skillet accessories (sold separately). You can store the core unit in less space now and expand the setup later if your cooking setup changes.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the Ignik Skullet Portable Propane Heater and Stove. Folks, this is going to be a great option when you're camping in colder weather, because you usually end up packing two different things, right A heater and a stove for cooking. So this is a great option because it's actually a 2-in-1 heater and cooktop designed to give you both warmth and cooking capability from one single setup. So that's a very nice thing all day long, right So it does produce up to 48,000 BTUs of radiant heat, and that's gonna give you a full 360-degree heat zone that's gonna be great for campsites, tailgating, overlanding, those kind of things, or just cooler weather hangouts outdoors. And it does have a nice handle here with that traditional kind of spring on there to keep everything nice and cool up here.
And then, you can simply take this handle off, because this also functions like a cooktop. You can fold these guys out, and then you could place something on top for cooking. The burner is deep inside of there, but trust me when I say it's actually gonna get that flame all the way up here. Now we do sell separately a cast-iron skillet for the top of this, and also an adjustable stand that you could put underneath here. Both of those are great add-ons.
If you're looking at this, I highly recommend them as well. And, again, this is super compact. It's gonna make it easy to transport and set up compared to carrying separate heating things and a separate stove. So I'm gonna go ahead and screw this back on. And, again, it just simply screws on to make it easy to hold.
Whenever it's time to set up, what you're gonna do is you're gonna take the propane tank stand. I will say, out of everything that came with this, I gotta be honest, I wasn't too impressed with the stand here. Basically, you just put your propane tank on top of this. I don't know what more that's doing than just putting it on the ground. Maybe it gives a little more surface area to where it's not sinking in, but they do give you that little stand there, which is just some basic wire.
And then, of course, you've got your igniter here for the heat top. But, more importantly, you have your propane hookup. Now this uses the included regulator hose, and it is what you call a quick connect. So you just simply give a little pull for the spring tension on the connector, and then you're gonna be able to connect that with ease, and now you're ready to connect to your propane tank and start heating. And then, when it's time to disconnect, simply pull it back, and you can disconnect it with ease. Now, if you're looking at this, again, you have your ignition system right here where you can push in, and then you can twist it, (switch clicks) and then you can hear that click. So that's what you're gonna use to ignite it. And then, of course, when it's time to put away, you wanna make sure this is fully cooled down. It does take a while to cool down, so just keep that in mind. But then you've got these little spring-loaded catches on all three sides. Push them in, give it a push. Now it's gonna lock in place in the closed position. Now it's easy to put away. Now whenever it's closed like this, it's about 10 5/8 inches tall. And then, you simply push these up whenever it's time to pull it back out to use it. And then, once you pull out, now it's gonna be 15 7/8 inches tall. So again, folks, this has built-in safety features as well, because it is built for outdoors. So if it we inchesre to flip over, it would automatically shut off. It has that tip-over protection built in it. And, honestly, once you start using this, I think you're gonna be really happy, because, again, not only do you have a heater at the campsite, you have a cook spot, and this is gonna be a nice multifunction system that gets down small to put in compartments to store it. It's not taking up a lot of space. And, again, you have some great add-ons as far as the legs and the cast-iron skillet that you can purchase separately to make it an even more complete system that you're gonna enjoy for years and years to come. Folks, this, again, is our look at the Ignik Skullet Portable Propane Heater and Stove. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
