• Nerf Bar and Step Recommendations for a 2018 Ram 3500 Crew Cab Long Bed
  We do have some wheel to wheel nerf bars for your 2018 Ram 3500 Crew Cab long bed. We have Westin Nerf bars # 28-534335 (matte black) which will fit as long as the truck isn't a dually. As far as the height of the bars we don't have that measurement but I have included a picture from the instructions that shows the bars installed. Another option instead of full length bars are Carr steps. Steps # CARR129772, and # CARR129771 have a 6 inch drop and can be installed along any of the doors....

• Side Cab Steps that Will Fit a 2012 Ram 2500 Crew Cab
  Pilot, the manufacturer, does not list steps # BBS-1103 as a fit for a 2012 Ram 2500 because apparently the vehicle design where these would install is not compatible with the way in which they install. You can however use # CARR109771 or # CARR129771 as long as the truck has a gas motor and not a diesel motor. The issue with diesels is that the emissions tank under the vehicle interferes with mounting.

  Since you have a diesel engine you instead would want the part # CARR107441 which is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ram 3500 4 door cab/chassis. The part # CARR129771 only fits the gas engine trucks.

  I attached install instructions for the CARR steps part # CARR129771 that you referenced. As long as you don't have a dually I think you'd be better off with the Bestop Steps part # B7540715 which are designed to mount in front of the rear wheels like it sounds like you want to have a step.
