Then hook the arm around the inside edge of your OEM mirror. Finally, tighten the hand knob to secure the towing mirror in place.

Nice product! Fits my 2000 Grand Cherokee perfectly. Super fast order processing and shipping from etrailer.com . Will definitely add them to my online stores purchase list!
I found that, while the mirror itself seemed to work fine, the mounting system used to attach it to the existing mirror was flawed in that it caused the mirror to shake (while at speed) to the point that the image wasn't discernible. Always.
Mirrors fit good opened the package to find that one part came off its glued on to the side where it slides onto the factory mirror. Packaging looked like it had been reused but I'm not looking package looks im looking at product looks!! Have yet to put them on to tow will let you know when we go camping!
Can't recommend these at this time because haven't rowed with them yet!
Like the look, and they work fairly well. The passenger side doesn't help a lot, but the driver's side lets me see vehicles behind me that can't be seen with the stock mirrors.
Easy on-off. Work well with our 21-foot travel trailer. Not perfect, but will do the job for the price. If you need something full-time, you may want something that sticks out more, but these are just fine for occasional use. The driver side is easier to see with than the passenger side.
We ordered the towing mirrors and they worked great! Delivery was spot on in time for our inaugural trip. Great job, great product!
Thank you!
The mirror extenders fit perfectly, easy on & off.
I have traveled several times, they work good, not much vibration.
They add to my safety, and am well pleased.
Its funny that you should just so happen to be writing about the towing mirrors. I just arrived in Jacksonville FL. Last week and unfortunately I had an unfortunate situation with my passenger side mirror as from the time of arrival it seemed as though the end w/the plastic hook and screw, the threads seemed to be defective. They wouldn't grab tight enough so I thought, until it slipped off as I was heading down I-95 during a heavy rain. And before I realized it, the passenger mirror flew off leaving me to travel blind. I understand things happen ,but it was certainly a stressful situation, I just took it slow and easy staying in the right lane. The worst was exiting and when I was going through towns on the way..Any I still have the drivers side as there seems to be no problem with it.. Thanks For Your Time..
Left hand mirror would not mount correctly onto the existing Jeep mirror and continuously drooped making it impossible to align the mirror. Both mirrors vibrate excessively at trailering speeds making the images almost useless. Would not recommend this set of mirrors for any Jeep Grand Cherokee owners.
Extremely pleased, best product out there, a must for safety and easy to install and remove.
Fit well, easy on and off. Would have like to had a storage bag included and for the attachment hardware to stay with the mirror extensions. I would have been willing to pay a little more if those additions had been included. There is a little vibration of the mirror itself when traveling but not so much that I am not able to see what I need to for safe towing.
Haven't towed with them yet, but I backed up to my trailer, installed them (it was easy)sat in the car, and it does allow me to see the rear of trailer better. With the stock mirrors, it was impossible to see if a car was behind you while towing 7' wide trailer. Still need to road test to see if mirror has excessive vibration.
Seriously: It took longer to open the box than to install these mirrors. Slipped them on, tightened the plastic retaining bolt finger tight. Done. Im not sure how it could have been easier.
Quickest shipping ever. Product is perfect. Thanks guys

Still a great product
These side view mirrors are poorly designed. There is a rectangular plastic piece which is supposed to keep the bottom half of the towing mirror attached to the standard mirror. The plastic tab is glued on and isn't nearly secure enough. After breaking one, I used construction adhesive and two small bolts/nuts to fix it. Instead of taking a chance, I strengthened the other one the same way. Once on, they work pretty well.
As always, etrailer was very responsive and offered to ship replacement mirrors to me on the road.
Fits my 2004 Grand Cherokee perfectly. Tight fit and installation was a snap, less than a minute each side. Can back up my trailer now without having to get in and out of my truck.

Still working just as good as the day I bought them. A must have for anybody towing with a Grand Cherokee.
Makes adding mirrors looks like factory install
I ordered extension mirrors for my truck and first set had funny stains on them .I talked with customer service and they immediately got new ones out to me .I was going on vacation in a week and had the new ones for the trip.I didn't have to wait for them to get old ones back before getting my new ones. The mirrors worked awesome on the truck for that extended view when towing the trailer, easily attached in just a few minutes ,makes no marks on original mirror and easy to store when not in use. I would recommend this company .Great service and friendly workers made my experience a pleasure.
Mirrors were ordered for 2002 Grand Cherokee and fit pretty well. There is a piece of foam affixed on the inside of each mirror mounting area to act as a spacer and cushioner against the factory mirror, and one is in a slightly different spot than the other. This makes one side fit better than the other. One side is very tight, which makes screwing on the tightening knob very difficult to grab the first threads on the plastic hook and rod. Mirrors hold their position very well once adjusted, even over several hundred mile trips. There is very little vibration, and they make seeing around my popup camper trailer much better. Overall a good product.
This product was awesome! It worked perfectly for my 2004 Jeep Gr Cherokee and was a crucial addition to setting the vehicle up to tow a camper (1st time owner). We used these on a 3 week, 7,000 mile road trip across the US and Canada during June of 2019. We went from Colorado to Nova Scotia and back hitting 15 US States and 4 Canadian Provinces. These mirrors performed flawlessly with no issues and I left them on the entire trip. No vibration, shifting or concerns. I did order and bring an extra set of the plastic retainers/screws just in case, but didn't need them. I sold my truck after returning home and now only wish I could find these for my new truck! Great product.
Product fit pretty well, I was surprised the clips to hold down to the mirrors were made of plastic. And they were a tad short I had to force together to get the holding clips to thread on and tighten down which seems like an easy solution by just lengthening the clips by 1/4 of an inch, but altogether seems like a good product, haven’t hauled with them yet but test drove with them and they do provide a better angle farther out for better visibility behind me
The manufacturer tried to make a product made for a different vehicle work for my 2004 Jeep by gluing a extension piece on to the bottom.
When I opened the box the piece on the drivers side mirror was floating loose in the box. I wasn't sure what it was until I was trying to mount the mirrors. As I was mounting the passenger side mirror, I realized what the loose piece was for because it was still glued to that casing.
When I tried to mount the drivers side one by slipping the piece on it would slip off when I tightened it.
I am afraid that, even if I re-glued the piece it would vibrate loose and the mirror would fall into the road and cause damage or an accident. In short their Micky mouse solution is a hazard and I don't trust it.
I was very enthused about the potential of a better mirror but am quite disappointed. I would like to return them please.
London and I Thank You for this Fine product! While towing London's Trailer; it helps me keep him safe! We Ride in different State Parks; and attend Equine events!
Note: The only reason I gave a Four Star revenue; was the screw clips, are easy too lose! I ordered an extra set; and sure enough I did lose one setup! The Mirrors themselves are Excellent! I was warned about vibration; however I never go over 60 MPG while towing my Horse London, and no vibration occurred! Smile!

I just wrestled the mirror extensions on.
I'm a bit concerned about the 'keeper' screw, it has quite a bit of tension on it. How long am I covered if it breaks? Is it easily available if it does?
I'm also not thrilled about the lower edge, it juts down 3/4" past the actual mirror housing. The padding on the bottom of the extensions isn't touching anything, it's about 7/16" - 1/2" from the mirror housing.
Please take a look at the pics attached, maybe I have them on wrong...

According to Longview, the screw you mention will have some tension on it. The mirrors are covered by a 1 year warranty. As far as fit goes, I forwarded your photo to Longview, and was told thats how the mirror is intended to fit. As you can see in the photo up above in our product description, the mirror we test fitted fit in a similar fashion as yours.
Shipping was quick. Mirrors fit as they should except for the tension rod. It is plastic and was too short to reach the tension nut no matter how it was tweaked. I used 4-1/2” metal j hooks with 1/4” thread and it secured them nicely.

Ive used these mirrors numerous times over a few thousand miles over two camping seasons. No complaints. They still look good and the mirrors have held up to the elements. I have noticed that one has become a bit sloppyless snug over time. Im considering trying to glue in another bit of foam to tighten that up.I expect to get another two seasons out of them at least.
