HotSpot Mirror Placement
HotSpot mirrors are designed to be placed anywhere on your factory side-view mirror, but they are typically installed on the bottom outside corner of the mirror.
To determine the best placement of the HotSpot mirror, start by using a piece of folded tape to stick the spotter mirror to your factory mirror in the location that you think you would like the HotSpot to be. Once you tape the HotSpot in place, sit in your car to look through the blind spot mirror. If the HotSpot is not in the best place for you, keep adjusting the location of the mirror until it suits your needs. Once the mirror is in the best location, remove the folded tape, peel off the cover of the adhesive backing on the HotSpot, and apply it permanently.
Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today, we're going to take a look at the CIPA two inch round convex hotspot mirrors with the blue tint for a quantity of two. Now, these round hotspot mirrors will reduce blind spots. They increase safety while you're passing or changing lanes, and they do use convex lenses that provide a nice wide angle view. Basically, the objects in the mirror will be closer than they appear. Now, the blue tint on them will help minimize the glare from any sunlight or headlights. If you notice on the back, they have this nice adhesive backing that offers simple installation on your factory side mirrors. And these hotspot mirrors are designed to be placed anywhere on your factory side view mirrors, but they're typically installed at the bottom outside corner of the mirror.
You can pick where you want them on your mirror. What I would recommend before you peel this and stick them, what you want to do is maybe take a piece of scotch tape, put it on there, and then put it different positions on your mirror to see where you would like it. Once you find the right spot, then go ahead and peel this off and attach it.This is for a quantity of two blind spot mirrors and the diameter on each one is right at two inches, but that should do it for the review on the CIPA two inch round convex hotspot mirrors with the blue tint..

Mounted on '97 F-350 PSD Dually.
Etrailer was the only one that had them with gaskets to match my trailer mirrors.
Eliminated my blind spots!
Pleased to receive a quality product, thanks.
Works great
Product delivered fast and exactly as promised. Is going to work perfectly on my Jeep Wrangler to "keep it legal." Because I'm able to bolt this to one of my door hinges, there is no need for additional mounting hardware on the body of the jeep that some mirrors require.
I got this to supplement the driver side rearview mirror. I have a camera on the passenger side which gives a great view on the right, but the left was lacking. This really fills in the gaps. Excellent product.
Mirror surface is very good quality and image is clear and easy to spot cars in blind spots. Installed on right mirror on 40’ motor home which had good mirrors but I was always concerned of car right on front right tire area. This 100% will show me if anyone is there. Very quick shipping. Would buy again from Etrailer
This is a fairly priced, high quality, well made Glass Convex Wide Angle View Mirror in a Thick Black ABS Plastic Case with a Plated 360 Degree Adjustable Steel Mounting Bracket. Perfect “safer vision addition” to the existing bracket mounted Flat View Mirrors on my RV Motorhome. Very satisfied.
They're big. I wish I ordered the smaller one, but anyway as per your request I farword the picture of my one
Purchased a 2024 Ford Ranger and cannot find mirror extensions I'm satisfied with, which I've used in the past on my F150 when pulling my wider than the truck boat and trailer. Mounted these and they do give a wider view of vehicles following the trailer. Good price and quick service.
I've ordered these mirrors in the past and was completely satisfied with them. For some reason these mirrors are extremely hard to find at the stores, be it Walmart or the part stores.
Although etrailer had a clear photo of the convex adhered to the same mirror that I have on my Ram 2500, they are substantially larger than I expected. Needless to say, I ordered a smaller set since these are too large for my liking.
Simple and quick purchase that arrived quickly as identified
The product was as advertised. Will use it to eliminate a blind spot. Thanks for the quick delivery
GREAT FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I needed a spot mirror that would eliminate a blind spot. I mounted this mirror under the original mirror on the mirror arm. Fit perfectly and only took 1 minute to install.
Shipped and received on time and intact.
I liked this mirror so well on the driver's side, I ordered a second one for the passenger side of my '06 Dodge Sprinter View. Now I have a good side View on both sides of my View! etrailer is a Rock Star!
These stick on mirrors are great very useful and still look like brand new for a year old.. They adjust perfectly for that blind spot.
Very good rectangular mirrors for my van.
Easy to install on existent mirrors.
When first installed, one fell off. Fortunately, it was in the parking lot. Reinstalled it and it’s still fine after a year.
You can see the edge of the glass very slightly. Not really a problem.
I would recommend this product.
Greatly improves rear visibility
Good match for the old mirrors. Good price, fast shipping.
Great price fst shipping
I mounted these mirrors on our Winnebago Ford E350 chassis. It has the standard Velvac mirrors with the stick-on blind spot mirrors. The stick-ons used up a lot of my flat glass real estate, making it harder to see behind us. To upgrade the Velvacs would have cost a few hundred dollars. Over a two week period I devised a couple of mounting solutions. I bought two 5/16" ubolts to mount onto the mirror arms. The radius was large enough I used fuel line to pad and insulate the ubolts. One thing I appreciate about these mirrors are the wrench flats on the 1/4" stud and the fact that the tension can be adjusted on the ball joint. etrailer good service as usual.
Hello,
Yes you can use my install for feedback.
Only thing is I should have checked to see if you had not sure what they are called but “ brackets “ that go around bars for mirror mount would be nice to have a choice of size. Hard to find and would have saved me shipping and made a bigger sale.
??Maybe you could put a pop up
“ wait before you go, have you considered mounting hardware? What size pipe are you going to mount mirror to? “??
Anyway here is mine.
I Needed to put extension mirrors and wanted square ones to match and found them on your site. I still need to figure out one mount need like a 3” arm and a 1-1/2” and 1” clamps to stabilize passenger mirror.
Two things I didn’t like was..
1, the loose mirrors inside the plastic housing probably going to just put clear silicone on edges.
2, the sticker ....
“ objects in mirrors are closer than they appear “
has glue that’s hard to remove and leaves a residue. Cling on label would have been better.
Bought the custom extensions mirrors for my Silverado to aid in backing up our new camper trailer. Easy to install and remove. Videos were a great help. They not only helped in parking the camper but added a great deal of visibility while driving which makes for a safer trip.
