Video Transcript for Review of CIPA Clamp On Mirror Bracket Boat Windshield - CM02310

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at the CIPA clamp-on mirror bracket for your boat windshield. Now, this is basically gonna give you a simple way to add rear view visibility to your boat without making any permanent changes. This is going to clamp directly onto your boat's windshield, and it's going to hold a rear cup mirror. So you're gonna be able to easily see what's happening behind you while you're out on the water. On your screen, I've got a picture up just to give you an idea of what this is going to look like with that mirror.

And the mirror is not included with this. This is just the bracket. So one of the best things about this is how easy this is going to be to install. The clamp-on bracket design means you don't have to drill any holes or modify your boat. You're gonna be able to mount this quickly when you need it and remove it just as easily when you don't.

So just to give you an idea here of how easy this is gonna be to mount, you lift up this flap here and then you do have a screw here that, it's a hex head fitting. And I've got a hex wrench here. The wrench is not included, so you will need to have one of these. So I'm just gonna go ahead and stick that in there, rotate this, and then that's going to loosen this clamp, which I hope you can see. And then you just make that as loose as you need it to fit that on your windshield.

And then once you have it over the windshield, you'll just tighten this down to where you get a very firm hold, a very secure hold. And that's how easy this is going to be. Then we close that flap there, and that's how easy. Now, this does have an alternative or an alternate rather, rubber insert. And that's gonna be if you have smaller windshield frames and you need more, more connection if you will, with the clamp.

So that's included in case you run into that problem. So this is gonna hold the mirror securely in place. It's gonna give you a firm grip. It's gonna help reduce vibrations. It's gonna keep the mirror from shifting around, even when you're moving across choppy water. And this is designed to blend in. This black finish is gonna give it a clean, low profile look. It's gonna work well with most boat setups so it doesn't stand out or look out of place. And so very durable. It's made out of very durable materials, so I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. This feels like this is metal and this is very durable. I believe this is all metal here actually, the way that it sounds. So I think it's gonna hold up well. It's designed to stand up to marine use, so the water environment. So really, this is gonna be an easy no-drill solution for improving visibility while you're out on the water. Instructions are included. While I'm thinking about it here, let me see if I can give you some measurements, just to give you an idea. I'm gonna say overall, it's about 11 and a half inches tall, maybe a little bit over. Then the width. About four and, about four and three quarters inches wide. So just some rough measurements. How about the thickness I'd say about two and a quarter.
